Community Generosity Lauded, Patch Coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

Community PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds

Community generosity is the main topic in the latest update to the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Steam page. During a special Charity Invitational a few weeks ago, players raised nearly $225k for Gamers Outreach. Over 128 streamers took part by lending their voices to the event.

These resources will make such a difference for children and their families. Hospitalization can often be a lonely, isolating, and scary experience – especially for young people. Our mission as an organization is to help ease those burdens by providing equipment, technology, and software to help kids cope with treatment. We’re primarily concerned with ensuring games are accessible and manageable within hospitals. That’s why we construct GO Karts – portable video game kiosks built specifically for the hospital environment, which enable healthcare professionals to provide children with access to bedside activities.

Community input vital to tomorrow’s patch

The team has been working hard to track down and squash a bug that has been causing server lag. This has been in addition to working on a significant patch coming to the game on Thursday, May 25th.

Here’s some of what the patch includes:

  • client performance updates
  • gameplay improvements
  • action and gun play fixes
  • UI update
  • general bug fixes

While that seems at first blush to be a small list, the full itemized list is much longer. You can check it all out by visiting the Steam page.
