Deep Silver is ready to unleash Shenmue III on the world in 2018. The company will oversee publishing the game for both PC and PlayStation 4.

The deal is sure to be big for the Germany publisher. Shenmue III was one of the more successful KickStarter projects. Over 70,000 backers contributed over six million dollars to see Yu Suzuki bring the series back to life.

The story will take place in 1980s Yokosuka, Japan where Ryo Hazuki witnesses his father murdered. He heads off to Hong Kong in search of a pair of mysterious mirrors and to avenge his father. Along the way, he meets more than a few new companions before heading to Bailu Village.
What secrets are held within the twin mirrors? Will Ryo face his arch nemesis, Lan Di in a final showdown? What does fate hold in store for Ryo and Shenhua?
You’ll learn the answers to these and many other questions when Shenmue III is released in 2018.
