Far Cry 5 - The Crew 2

Ubisoft has sent out an announcement on the new games the company currently works on. That includes The Crew 2, Far Cry 5 as well as mobile Might & Magic title and new Assassin’s Creed game.

The Crew 2 – what do we know?

The Crew is a 2014 open-world racing title. In November 2016 the company reported that the game had over 10 million registered players. Together with Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six: Siege it was highlighted as Ubisoft’s key title.

Ubisoft announced The Crew 2 just prior to the latest earning’s call. Currently, no further details have been announced.

Far Cry 5 Confirmed

Ubisoft has teased the fifth instalment in its series of open-world FPS via Twitter. Just as it is with The Crew 2, the company revealed the game prior to the earnings call. It was there that Ubisoft also confirmed the release within the current fiscal year (before March 31, 2018).

The last entry in the series, Far Cry: Primal, launched in 2016. The events of the game took place in pre-historic times. It is currently unknown where or when the events of Far Cry 5 will take place.

In other Ubisoft-related news, there will also be a new Assassin’s Creed game as well as a mobile title for Might & Magic universe. Further details will be announced at a later point.

  1. I’m genuinely intrigued by Crew 2. First game was wonderful but bogged down by a lame narrative. Wonder if they’ll ditch it and focus on racing?
