World of Warcraft players and fans have made a big contribution to the Make a Wish foundation. The Mischief pet and toy were sold in December 2016. Blizzard announced that sales of the $25 toy and the $10 digital pet netted $2.5M. The funds raised were donated to the well known children’s charity.
Recent Facts About World of Warcraft Charity Giving:
- Players of WoW helped Blizzard to raise $1.9M to give to the Red Cross early in 2015.
- Later in the year $1.7M for Make a Wish was raised.
- Fans contributed by buying Argi and Brightpaw digital pets.
Children with life-threatening diseases have been seeing their dreams come true through Make a Wish since 1981.
