As with all MMOs, the "good"side will predominate once the game goes live. It's just a fact of history and human nature. True, Chaos may seem to have the upper hand now...but that would be due to the only people speaking out currently being the more serious and hardcore gamers (this would be anyone who actively follows games, gaming and reads and posts about them on forums...and excludes the majority of game players who do not do any of those) being the ones currently voting and they tend to be somewhat less than the average in such things. Trust me, if a game has anything even closely confused with a "good" vs "evil" dynamic happening, the perceived "good"side will be in the majority once full launch takes place. That said, I almost always go the darker route myself. So, destruction for me. Just more this girl's taste. :3 |

I think destruction will have more people but will be less organized. I feel like joining destruction is like joining a zerg army while joining order is like joining the more challenging side which WILL find ways to overcome the odds and come out as better players in general. Anyway though i'm planning on having 2 chars on each side spread across 4 different servers so that I can experience each server's different balance. Having two chars on one server sounds like it has little to no benefit. |

I wonder if there are queue times for entering scenarios. I would figure waiting around in a queue would be super frustrating if you happen to play a very over populated faction. If it works that way, don't know yet.
I hope they've put in more than a little effort into trying to figure this out in a solid way instead of letting the game take it's natural course, as happened in WoW. Some of those servers are so full of one faction over the other that it's surreal how imbalanced it is.
They've mentioned looking into things at Mythic to help get around this sort of thing, wonder what they're going to do. Having players sit around in a queue all the time while they're eager to bash some skulls would make for some pretty unhappy campers. Other than the aforementioned "We will give the losing side some kind of perks" I'd think a hard cap on realm population would be the most balanced, albeit the most unfair...way to solve things.
Such as, you have a hard limit of how many more active (not just level one alts) Destruction players are able to exist on a server before they disable the function to create more new Destruction players until Order catches up. Over time this could be a good way to balance things out, but people would get howling mad when they realize that they can't roll a character of whatever faction they choose on whatever server they want, they would have to become part of the solution instead of part of the problem which would make people seriously uncomfortable. If they wanted to roll Destruction, certain servers would not allow them to, so they would have to seek out different servers that had an overabundance of Order players. Would be interesting but doubt that's the way they'll do things.
You would think these things would balance themselves out, but in the end whatever factions dominates will tend to draw even more players to itself, time will tell what that ends up being, right now it's just speculation with most of the speculation being heavy Destruction favored. |

Your ranking was a bit off. Swordmaster chews all of those guys faces off.
As for the person who said "anyone with real pvp experience will join the bandwagon" what games have you played???? UO the underdogs were more powerful DAoC the mids were the underdog and the most powerful RF online the underdog was most powerful and eventhough wow wasnt a pvp game, the horde whooped up on alliance in the beginning of the game before gear progression became a factor.
the underdog ALWAYS wins because you get more experience in how to fight when you are out numbered. you alwo gain points FASTER because you have more fights to get in. most of the old midgard 8v8 gank groups already have said they were going to play whatever side was the underdog for that very reason. |

just because you're playing order doesn't mean everyone on the destruction is a little kid..stop using generalizations..both sides will have kids, retards, noobs and old age pensioners.I'm going to be playing a high elf swordmaster, so like the cool kids say, elves are gay. |

I wanted to play chaos but when I saw the amount of people going that way I will play order and possibly another chaos alt on a different server. So I guess I just sat on the fence :/ |
