You kill the Joe, you make some moe

Ive just finally reached the tier 3 zones, and something has been bugging me for awhile about this game

Theirs absolutely almost no one participating in Open world rvr, and Public quests.

Im on the skull throne server, notorious for its queue size, and is supposedly a high population server

During my time in tier 1 zones I was taking field objectives alone on my swordmaster in the highelf zones, I traveled to Empire and Dwarf zones on occasion, but it was usually the same deal there, maybe 1 or 2 opponents roaming around, but beyond that no action.

Tier 2 it seemed alot easier to get into scenario's faster, but it was pretty much the same deal as far as open world rvr, their might be one keep thats labeled under attack, but when I get there its only maybe a group of enemies and absolutely no defenders, or theirs no one there at all.

Ive tried looking at other servers to see if their was more happening there, but looking at the map it looks like its the same deal.

Am I the only one irritated with this? Is it just a lack of players, or perhaps scenario's are just sucking up to many players?

I almost wish this game was still in open beta, their was alot more action going on than their is now it seems :(

Weekends.  It seems the weekends is when the open RvR starts kicking in hard.  However during the week I have encoutnered some epic keep seiges on Chaos Waste.  Avelorn server isn't too big with RvR, but it is good with scenerios.

No one uses open pvp, when there is instanced pvp, because players always take the way of smallest resistance.

Eltharion (EU) has constant OpenRvR in T2 Troll Country and Ostland. It was the same when I was in T1 and I bet it's going to be the same in T3 which I start to participate in on this week.

RvR requires large pop servers with organized guilds. People still haven't gotten it through their heads that this game isn't WOW 2.0. While you can solo to 40 on PvE content and doing lame scenarios over and over, the game is about guilds and raiding enemy territory. This requires lots of people, so either move to a higher pop server and join a guild or prepare yourself for a boring game.

I love this game, but too many people don't understand it. They need to break with the idea that server mergers indicate a game is dying. This game requires high pops and they need to merge the lower pop servers to ensure EVERY server reaches high in prime time. If they don't the low-medium pop servers will die anyway and take some of their players with them. They need to explain this to players and get the mergers over with. They can reopen new ones and offer moves as space is needed.

This game can't live on low pops.

Phoenix Throne has healthy PvP going on. Especially during primetime. I have seen some freaken huge zergs going at it in EvC T2, HvD T2, and a little less in DvG T2. When I was in T1 there was also plenty of World RvR, primarily in EvC T1. I cannot comment on T3 because I'm intentionally delaying my leveling till more head that way.
