I stoped WoW several months ago.  Now I have a job that I travel, and Im sitting in a hotel with a new laptop. I talked two people on my job into playing WoW and now I would like to play with them.

Problem:

Another friend has my disc back home, and I don't have my key code with me.  Can I use someone elses disc and load it on my computer WITHOUT a key code as long as I still use my old account ?

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started.

Yep.    I almost had to do the same thing, but because the CD was so old, I would've had to download a huge huge patch.  Instead I went to best buy and bought a 'trial account' disk for $1 which was a more up-to-date version and only had a small download.

you can also log into your account via the wow website and download the client from there.
