Yes, I have to agree with you here. I think scenarios is a good thing ALTHOUGH to me it should be more of a practice area than exp'ing area. It should be a place where you can learn new stuff and play as a team. Then you go into the RvR area and show em what you got. If they remove scenarios there would be tons more action in the RvR areas (at least for my server) Tier 1 i was able to take all 4 destro owned areas with just a healer. Thats about 10 minutes per area, and no enemies even showed up to defend. Now Tier 1 when you do scenarios the average amount of RP you get is what 300? Somewhere along that area. But when you take over enemy owned area you get 200 RP and another 200 RP for defending. Its totally worth the effort and takes much less time than scenarios. Anyway...when you say they brought in 22-30 to wipe you guys in a Tier 2 area, its impossible. They are Tier 3 and cant enter Tier2 RvR areas, otherwise they'll be turned into a chicken. I was level 12 and tried going into Tier1 RvR areas a few times and got turned into a chicken. So it would be the same for other tiers as well. Hmm dont know m8, but i really sow some 22, 26, 29 and a few 30 ones. and they were no chikens....
Thought i did heard about this chiken thing, but it newer applied for these guys |

RvR doesn't really give EXP rewards, just access to venders and points towards capping the enemy city. We need Scenerios to become LESS significant in levleing up so that people fill up those RvR zones. Scnerio PvP needs to have half the current EXP rewards, and capping Keeps needs to practically give you a quarter level of exp. |

I agree, that would most likely piss some people off that have become to rely on the scenario exp, but would also more than likely mean we'd so a LOT more people out doing the keeps. :) |

There is an actual bar in the top right hand corner which lets you know the progress of your realm in that area. Scenarios count as part of that. If Order is dominating the scenarios, even if Destruction has taken control of the open world RVR in that area you can still see a vast number of extra buffs for order, even if they aren't "technically" winning in open world RVR. Secondly, they do let everyone know in the area when a team has taken an area, whether you're on the order or destruction side. Order seems to respond alot less.. probably due to having less people. I can tell you another thing, alliance chat is where its at. Let your alliances know that X keep is being taken and you'll get some kind of turn out. I'm not really on a high populated server but I've never experienced any issues with not being able to find partners for RVR. I am however, in a very active guild though. The only thing that would help is maybe an instant travel option to the keeps... it would increase the turnout of keep sieges 10 fold because people won't have to run to said place. |

I really like the idea someone just stated about having caps for each area. e.g. so many points from scenarios will shut it down until RvR is completed to. Also like the last post stated instant travel to a keep under attack or going to be attacked is essential because to gather enough people is way too hard. I figure the problem is solvable but it depends if the developers feel the same way and do something about it. |

Scenarios do have a purpose though,
They allow you to raise your level rank and renoun rank at the same time, which gives you access to armor if you can't seem to find an active PQ (though I can't see how).
They help drive guilds, as guild rank is based on renoun, guilds members who scenario a lot help to add to the overall guilds rank. This is quite helpful for small guilds who cannot open RvR yet.
They also help you to sharpen your skills in a smaller setting than open RvR. Get used to your enemies strengths and weaknesses before being pitted against them in open warfare.
The scenarios have their place in the game, they do a lot of good for a lot of different reasons. Once the game has it's share of full blown Tier 4 RvR you will see a lot less of scenario play, just have to give the game enough time to mature so that full guilds of 40's are at war.
It will come in time. | |
