The folks at RealU Studios have released eight screenshots depicting scenes from Mars, one of the many worlds within Otherland.

Read more here.

I'm really looking forward to this game.

Then again, the last series of books I liked that were turned into an mmo was AoC.

Never mind, I'm optimistic :)

"You know what happened to the man that got everything he ever wanted? He lived happily ever after"

The art style is so different and foreign. Its like nothing I've ever seen before ever in an MMO....I think its a good thing?

actually it reminds me of an updated SWG, graphics wise and this game *looks* very very promising but I have been burned many times by early judgements and I am not going to get to excited

The graphics style of this game is more surreal than SWG. I would not really call the graphics updated, just different.

You don't seem to grasp the nature of this game.  It is second life in a Sci-Fi skin.  How many people including you on this site find 2nd Life stimulating?  Not many.  I think you will be quite disappointed in what this game intends to provide.

All it will be is a glorified chat room.

Call me crazy, but I really, really like the art direction here. It's reminiscent of Myst, almost. I do hope there's more to this game than, as Ozmodan said, a "glorified chat room." The devs have said there will be quests, didn't they?

Second Life is popular. Some people like to socialize.

Sorry if my post sounded like I was bashing 2nd Life, I was not.  It is a very popular game and there are a lot of people that enjoy such.  The point I was trying to make is that most of the posters on this board would not really enjoy such a game.  The people here want a lot more action than that.

So do I. It's very different, yet strangely appealing.
