A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men. |
I dont see a problem with it. Everyone knows that jedi and sith are going to be the 2 most popular classes no matter what. Might as well let people choose it to start with. So long as the dont make those 2 classes overpowered versus the non force wielding classes it wont matter.

| I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it. |

Bioware tends to lean toward character developement in their games, so players will probably not be starting as a full fledged Jedi or Sith. More than likely, they will start as sensitives and have to work their way up with their choices deciding what they will become. That is a guess based on their previous games so I could be very wrong also. |

yeah i hope that happens. i think it would be really fun to have to train to become a full fledged sith. like in kotor when you go to korriban to infiltrate the sith and can kill your competition at the training facility which also helps make you even more badass. evil ftw |

You'll probably start out as a padawan or apprentice rather than a full-fledged jedi knight. That would be more along the lines of their previous games. |

As much as I appreciate some of the commentary from the Pre-NGE/CU guys, they need to chill and realized that TOR is -not- going to be the second coming. Far from it. From what's already been announced, we know the 'flavor' of the game. It's not going to be some epic sandbox like SWG was, it's not going to be the holy grail to these guys. Now if only they'd see that and stop trolling over here for TOR to be that way. >.> |

1,000,000 HK''s in WoW and nothing to show for it... but a big BAN. |
TOR is going to be epic in its OWN way. It will not be a sandbox like SWG so everyone needs to just chill out and forget that. Im sorry if you are pissed that SWG is not what you wanted it to be BUT TOR is NOT going to be the revival of SWG.
Having Jedi/sith as a starter is not bad. If you know anything about the Old Republic lore you know that there we LARGE amounts of jedi and sith in the galaxy at this time. The game would not be the old republic if it did not have lots of jedi and sith.

According to the interview at gamspot the Sith have come back in full force, but a peace agreement has been formed. That is where the game starts. To me it would have been a big mistake not allow Jedi/Sith at the start of the game. I do question weather or not it's a good idea to allow the other classes though. I worry that there will be to many Jedi/Sith running around. On the otherhand the game seems to have a lot of solo content so there may not be a lot of interaction between players anyway. |
