Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s.

so...not really sure what your getting at here.
WAR and AOC were playing ball with the big boy on the block "WoW" and Im pretty sure they were completely ignoring Vanguard.

It meant that war and aoc both wanted to rival wow, and they were to be the next big thing, but in truth they weren't even able to extinguish lesser games like vanguard.

Vanguard, huh?

That was the game I really didn't like because it was so empty, even when server populations were high, like at release, I ran into like 3 people out on the field in one session... In cities, there were like 10 people at an exchange guy... but thats it.

I need to have a lot of poeple around me when I am playing in a vast and empty world unless it is Fallout 3.

Vanguard killers?

Dude, AoC dispite its problems and WAR destroyed Vanguard. Over a year ago SOE put out that VG had something like 50k active users...Both AoC and WAR are in the hundreds of thousands.

Sony has no "big boy" games, they wrecked them all. What they have left are a bunch of half realized and half finished, empty server games.
