Tonight I heard him talking on Hannity & Colmes and he said with Barack Obama's past associations, he could never get a government job that requires a high level of clearance. The FBI would never hire him, for instance. He could never work for the CIA. And he couldn't even get a low level job with the NSA. William Ayers, Rashid Khalidi and even Jeremiah Wright would all eliminate him from consideration for employment with those agencies. And yet, because the Presidency is an elected position, he can occupy that job, even though he will be privy to even more sensitive information. That is whack! |

I would say that George Bush's alcoholism, questionable national guard activities, and drug use would probably prevent him from getting a very high security clearance as well. Certainly Clinton's life and associations would hurt his chances as well. I don't think it's particularly important whether a person would be squeaky clean enough to get a security clearance when they are in the White House -- the qualifications for the job don't warrant it.

I don't know much about W's "Questionable practices in the national guard". But Alcoholism and drug use? Nah, they wouldn't care about that as long as it wasn't a present thing. Those were past vices. A big difference than having ties with very questionable extremist characters in the past decade. Very different. |

i read about this on snopes ... said it wasnt true at all had a link to several articles from FBI guys and USSS guys who said he has nothing that will not allow him to have the proper clearances. I cant get snopes to open tho to link it ... its in the hot 25 on Obama.
