I love that EVE just keeps on getting better. Space MMO's are not for everyone, but there is so much flexibility in EVE that you can make your own fun, and we don't have to pay for improvements. And no, you don't "get PvP'd straight away"; if you want to stay safe you can. I've lost one ship in over two years ... sure I'm not a PvP player in EVE but I still really enjoy my gametime. Of course, the no PvP thing is going to change ... after all, stealth bombers are not that good for missions |

I have level 5 in Advanced GTFO. |
I love it when people cry about losing ships. Okay. So you go out to 0.0 and instantly get ganked. Right. You're an idiot. Seriously. Eve is a TEAM game. You're meant to fly around in fleets if you're going pvp. Think of it this way. You're a soldier in hostile territory. You're walking down the road and looking at all the cool stuff. BAM, you get shot in the head, and scream GANKED! Bottom line is, if you're SMART, you won't get killed. If you're an idiot, then you're just fodder for the rest of us. Is it smart to jump into a 0.0 bottle neck system which is PROBABLY going to have a hostile bubble camp? No. You deserve to lose your stuff if you don't think. Period. |

I would suggest the EVE corp and alliance recruitment forum if you have not already done so. Also EVE University exists for new pod pilots, keep them in mind. Welcome to EVE. |

The so called constant pvp, in a way is true but you cry the fact that new players expect to get ganked as soon as they start. Not true. Unless you do go into low sec on 0.0 space..well thats just an ass kicking waiting to happen. And i would expect to get ganked. low sec and 0 space has better missions and better rewards, but carries higher risks, besides much 0.0 space is either syndicate or alliance controlled so youll get ganked anyhow just because they are defended by any particular entity that roams there unless you have sorted out standings, have a fleet of your own or can scout systems ahead for danger. The players that do cry about it usually go into low sec and 0 space alone adn do get gangked. Eve highly encourages people to group together, that is how you truly survive and enjoy the game. Eve is not a game that holds your hand and it is harsh and doesnt baby you every step of the way. As for the game universe not ever changing..Not true either. Weve seen last year just how Goonswarm was able to inflict heavy loses on Band Of Brothers and their coalition. How mercenary corporations can affect an outcome of a war to in regards to the highest bidder. Faction warfare has made high sec pvp more possible besides war's between corps and alliances. Yes the missions can be somewhat dull, but i have not done a mission in almost 4years, with the amount of things you can do in the universe i never found i had to. I look f forward to star trek online but the two games are so vastly different that im not to concerned about sto and eve competing head on. |

Eve University is a great corp for players new to the game. They will literally teach you anything you could possibly want to know about Eve. I am biased as I'm currently a member. Oh, and I'm all tingly thinking abour what CCP has in store for the game (to get this back on topic). | |
