It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a viking to raze a village! |

I've also been thinking of trying this game, but from what I understand it's hard to catch up. It seems only logic to start a fresh server now when they market eve as much as they do, on gamespot etc. |

People keep saying it's a bad idea because it wouldn't actually accomplish anything. Skill points in Eve do not determine how powerful your character is. Your own player skills determine that. Your skills merely give you options. People buying high SP characters and then getting their asses handed to them is a disturbingly common occurance because people can't lose the whole 'I need X level' mindset, whereas people new to pvp (including former industry characters like yours truly) are often told to stick to frigs (the most basic ship in the game) until they get the hang of things, and it's quite possible to be effective in said frigate if you know what you're doing without having a huge amount of skillpoints invested. |

If you think that you will always have something to contribute you will find the million ways you can contribute and enjoy your time in EVE. The end result is that EVE does not support negative thinkers at all. It is its one weakness is that if you havea negative attitude it will return that attitude with negative impressiosn tenfold. Fi you come to me in eve and constantly say that you can't help because you can't contribute because of SP then I will quickly see you out of my corp or alliance. If you come looking for ways that you cna be helpful then I will support you and help you out till you no longer need my advice. |

No it is not hard to catch up... The day you have catched up is the day you learnt the ropes. By logic every other games should constantly need new servers. As there are already players that have the highest level, have the latest tier gear. You will never catch up to those either, when you got their current gear they will have the next released tier. When you are lvl x a level X comes in and rapes you. On and on and on. In EVE that doesn't happen, when you know what to do. The thing that you will get by having alot of trained SP is that the palette to pick colours from are bigger, still you can only draw with one at the time. What is it that one is looking for, envy of the guy that played from the start of the game and have million after million in SP, a chance to brag that I am one of the guys with most SP?
*Shure it happens... Like in every other pvp games out there, there naturally are people that play these games for the meaning of it, to PvP. This "elite super vet", that I envy he/she is so cool with assumingly a shitload of SP, attacked me in a simple Vexor (could have been a Thorax). The guy did not make dent on me even if he wouldn't even get past my shields. What he was doing was holding me down till his friends showed up with the DPS. That is only a couple of weeks of training. I had at that time 3 months worth of training and a PVE fitted ship. Afcourse he could have years worth of training, but in reality he would only needed a few weeks if even that. |

If the Devs think this will increase subscriptions it will happen the game is a busniess and the bottom line will dectaite. Short answer is yes it would bring them more subs hard to argue this and the vets know it. |
