We waited at midnight and got our copies. My boss, his wife and 4 of my friends. Up to this day I have yet grouped with them. I have a girlfriend and I work slightly more than my boss because he gets to decide to take short lunch or no lunch or leave early when his work is done, while I'm stuck there. Everyone out leveled me and I have no one to group with, but hey.. I can ask the public players to group. This game is after all an MMORPG, massive multiplayer online, so that would make me feel like I might get a group with SOME lonely stranger that is also looking for the same thing.

The truth is no one is. This game is full of people who want things that 100% benefit themselves productively. I've asked and asked around everywhere to find someone to play this game with. Previous servers, everything. No one likes to group in this game because they don't have to. they're too busy cooking dinner and feeding a baby while questing in game, because it's that easy. It's casual fun for everyone. I'm not bashing the game for what it is, a casual pissing contest of epic perportions. I'm mad at myself for thinking I might have fun playing with other people in this game. It's so well made, the graphics and the quest design.. the gameplay. I love all that. The storyline, it's all great. The community? Sigh...

But 11 million subscribers play this game Azrile, Bodypass or Coffee will be here shortly to set you straight.

This is the best game ever and because 11 million subscribers play it surely you are wrong. WOW is the most reveloutionary game because it has 11 million subs.

Just a tip but anytime you even remotely think there is something wrong with WOW remind yourself that 11 million subscribers play it.

Edit- Why not just buy 4 more accounts then you can be your own group seems like the normal way WOW players deal with this type of problem. Hell one guy plays 36 at a time he is his own raid.

Playing- Lotro

It does seem like the community is completely ignoring the "massively multiplayer" part of the game at times. God help you if you want to run Classic content with a group. It took me about four days to find a group for some of the older dungeons while leveling my character, and when I would ask on the LFG channel, a lot of people would be condescending and rude. You know, not everybody wants to rush to 80, some of us actually like to explore the content of the game.

Stop generalizing.

I am lvl 63 at my Deathknight, and I have been since the start in only groups of random people because I like it. I played more MMO"s then WoW, and it isn't better or worse then any of the other games.

And why force people too group, only because you like it? You might instead work on you social skills ( I am sure you already have them.. but still) and you will roll in groups like this.

Heck, is it even me, or am I the only player who grouped also cross faction? Ofcourse its not possible to group or talk, but with the /*emote*  commands you are getting a long way.

But don't judge the game on that.. endgame is 100% group flavored, unless you enjoy running solo in bg's and farming gold.

I know the end game is fairly decent I just enjoy getting there in all mmo's than being there. I've always enjoyed leveling the characters up with other people getting to that achievement which is the highest level, and then I like to play other characters and get different flavors of gameplay. I'm just upset because I miss other mmo's that had great grouping, EQ, FFXI, EQ2. I could go back to EQ2 I guess.. That game did have a great community.. Hmm..

yeah i hear ya, even tho that was what originally attracted me and my gf to WoW we had been playing EQOA for a few years then we decided we wanted to both play dmg dealer classes and couldn't both get groups, had no trouble on my shadow knight and her cleric but wanted to play something new and couldn't.spent more time lfg than actually playing them. we get on WoW sa we couple duo np with any classes really.

but now i notice i'm missing the community the older mmos like eqoa had.group grinding mobs could be annoying at times when you just wanna goof a bit and solo. but you don't really get to know people anymore in MMOs grouping with them for an hour or so(usually less) for a 5 man isntance.intances are alot more intense than the old 5 man grind where we'd all bs about just about everything while we grinded. really only get to know people that way. yeah i know you could do guild only things and what not but a guild is only a select few of a much larger community.

most of the 5 man instances i went in it was almost dead silence the entire time....zzzzzzz....BORING! the old 5 man err actually i think eqoa it was 4 man groups but most groups i was in lasted hours and hours, i remember one day i was sick didn't feel like doing much so i just played allll day same group of people prolly like 8 hours+. also in that game i don't think many of the friends i had on my buddy list as actually in the same guild as me but we played together ALOT and knew each other on a first name basis, knew what we all did for a living, knew where we was all from ect.. i can't think of one person since, that wasn't a guildie that i even knew their name.

then again eqoa had THE best community in any mmo i've ever played, but how much of a chance do people really get when you may only ever group with them a handful of times for short period of time?

and i'm not generalizing wow players but MMO communty over all in the non group leveling oriented games.

I met this random guy in the Draenei starting area back when TBC came out and we leveled from 1 - 46 together in 2 days of just doing the same quests and it made everything sooo much easier. It is really fun grouping with people and was the best experience I've ever had in the game because of it. The problem I find is everyone invites eachother to a group when they need help but as soon as they got the reward they run off until the next time they need help with a quest. I don't get why you would want to solo the quests because it's just sooo boring on your own.

I remember in EQ2 beta when I got a group of 6 of us together and we were sitting out in the CL together in a circle like a camp and having a laugh while killing some mobs for quests and it felt like a real adventure discovering whats in the next area. We then died and lost alot of experience s
