I can only find it mentioned that the closed beta signup finishes, but no mention of the actual beta itself ending.

This is from that article.

Dear Closed Beta Testers,

Our Closed Beta is coming to an end.

To celebrate it, we would like to invite everyone to the zone of Hoggsridge on Thursday 20th of November, starting at 8pm CET.

Hoggsridge is located in the north of the Parliament shard. From Hawksmouth take the portal towards Aldenvault. There, you immediately take the road going to the right and run as fast as you can through all the panthers towards the zone portal !!

Hoggsridge has been PvP enabled so anyone you find on your path there is fair game!

Level 50 developers will be clearly marked as Spellborn Developer, kill them, make screenshots of their corpses and let us know you were triumphant on the forums. Evidence of your victory is welcomed !

And then, sadly, bid farewell to your treasured characters as we head into Open Beta! They will be missed!

Hope to meet ALL of you in Hoggsridge for some PvP action !

Finally, we want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support, as well as feedback and comments you provided us over the course of the Closed Beta process.

Be sure that we wouldn't have gone that far without you guys and that you will always be a part of the game.

I pulled 800kb/s from start to finish, sounds like your connection leaves alot to be desired tbh.

I have more than that on the torrent, the problem is that I cant get it started, neither Firefox nor explorer want to open it (and it was 45 mins to start the download anyways).

I could tun off my firewall but why bother when it is faster with torrent?

thanks for finding that for me.  That is exactly what I read.  So have fun for 1 more day, I guess.

Is it possible that the message in red above is a European beta? And that they're having an American beta too with a different time line to match the different release date? I don't know because I haven't followed this game as much. It does seem weird though that they'd have a beta contest one day before the beta is over.

I'm assuming, however, that anybody in CB would also automatically be in OB?  Is that not a safe/valid assumption?

I'll be playing my little heart out tonight, just in case though!
