That is right also. But when even the most casual players hit this fast, then it is bad. Would be equally bad if it took a year for most player to hit it, but the hard thing is to find that balance, 2-3 months for average players is perfect, not 2-3 weeks. No, it seems like they made it too easy this time. It will probably take them another 2 year for next expansion, that is a long time for people that did everything in the game the first 2 months. Still, what I heard all my friends still playing Wow are having a really good time now, so they seem to have gotten the fun value right. |

Cant be assed to read all comments.. But since this is a faaantasy game, and you are free to do whatever you want, then you can make it hard on yourself, if thats what you want... As someone mentioned earlier in this thread about guides, and mods that helps you lvl... dont use stuff like that. And to top it all, roll a rogue, use ALL your starting gear, all the way to lvl 80, and DONT buy dual wield at lvl 10... Now you got the toughest game currently available on the market... have fun...! |

Love it! I made a post ages ago along similar lines basically saying that if people actually spent five minutes and used their imagination they could get far more out of the game than if they just followed what they are "supposed to do". Try and complete a L70 raid with only L20 armor or take down a boss with only hunters in a group etc....etc... Cast your mind back to when you were 6-7 years old (yeah i know it is easier for some of us) and use a little imagination, it is a game after all. |

I think its funny that people are saying "Ohhh noes the content was beaten down in two days!" yes it was, by a Handfull of people who have been playing WoTLK for 4 months already doing raids in beta, most people are not even 80 yet let alone raiding and those are the ones complainting. I honestly dont feel like the content was ruined by a few guys beating it, I havent done it we are only starting raids next week so for me its still all good. Quoting one of the guys from method on my server "We have enjoyed the lore twice in beta, now it was time to just rush the content", they have done it all already its like running karazhan with your farm group for the 15th time or something its just rolling through content. |

The story telling of the new expansion is leaps and bounds better than that of the Outland expansion. There is really no comparison between the two for those who want to immerse themselves into the world, in the same mannder that it happened back in the WoW classical days. I care little about the end content being beaten. I do care that all content is now accessible by a 10-man group, thus making big raids obsolete. I'm sure some people will be happy with the changes, especially the crowd that despises raiding. For the record, Outland content would have been beaten just as fast, if the expansion was actually complete when it launched and the encounters were not broken. The fact that ex-Nihilum and co beat the encounters is only testament that the encounters are working properly. Good news for me with the less-than-infinite free time in my hands. The DK storyline has been a blast for me. Both the feeling and the mechanics of the class are intriguing and keep my playing. I don't think I would mind playing him from level 1, although I'm glad I've left Outland as fast as possible. This game is for a specific crowd that enjoys doing stuff instead of talking about stuff that hates doing. It all boils down to spend your free time in an enjoyable manner. And it looks like this expansion is in a much better shape than the previous one. Of course, I reserve my right to comment on the shape of the expansion once I get to fly again. For me that was a content killer in Outland and it might be again in this expansion. |

Fanboi is not a word, it is just bad grammar. |
I have been playing my 70 since the day after release and I am only about a third of the way to level 71...
This game will be as long or as short as you make it. |

I think a lot of you are confusing time and challenge.
I realize games like this are mostly time spent, but what I'm shooting at is how bad the game is as far as the challenge part goes.
In classic WoW if you didn't have each class fulfilling his role then you didn't complete the instance. In Wrath you can steamroll instances with 5 Death Knights. |

Not true, I'm playing the game and I assure for that. You're obviously not. Edit: The only instance you can finish with 5 DKs is Hellfire Ramparts in Outland and that is with multiple deaths in the process. Nothing else. Edit 2: From discussion with people that participated in the beta, I realise that DKs were too much of a powerhouse back then. This is not the case in the live game. While they start with good set gear for their level, they are not as good as people in the beta were describing them. |
