Aventurine has HORRIBLE PR, get used to it, you already should have after following the game so long.

What appals me is that you hate on them for getting press attention when you yell at them that they aren't talking to the press, sure this isn't ign but its better than nothing (note that they were the only ones who asked according to Tasos)... Just like you will hate on them for the delay, but hate on them if they don't delay and its not feature complete.

Not much new info there. Aparently the AI isn't completely stupid, that's a big improvement right there. Just have to wait for more info to come out.

I dont understand what youre saying here? Darkfall seems to be nothing but features. How can two followers of this game have such a different opinions is beyond me.

Sorry, it's something that just makes no sense to me. Humor me if you will for a second.

This is an MMO. Most of you people are waiting for the open beta invitation. All of you guys have repeatedly stated that this game will be a digital download. Certainly, you will probably have to download the client, patch and login to the server from wherever you live. I don't think all of you will travel to Greece everytime you need to logon, so that's probably a pretty good assumption.

Anyway...

Why didn't the 2 italians simply download the game client and login to this MMO? I mean. aren't ALL the other beta testers logging in from wherever they happen to reside? Or, is everyone sitting in the AV office beta testing this game?

Because the trip to greece would be deductable??

Seriously, if you dont thing that AV thinks it is very good to be able to explane things to them as they go along, and not get snagged in the UI, then you are a few chips short of a happy meal..

If this is the best we are going to get, then I guess I will just have to wait until open beta or even release.  Will we ever get any end-game/advanced feature info in the time we have left?  And until the server gets loaded during open beta, my performance questions will also go unanswered.

Of course the game have more to show off but they didnt play the whole game, just the starting areas. Its a very small part of the whole game, or?

If thats all you can read from the review...and the beta quotes...then i suggest you try to reread them without your tinted glasses of skepticism on.

Oh and unless im misreading your quote...DF beta seems to be going on quite well =)  im not hearing any whimpers!

My quote, though with every passing day seems less likely, at least is still a possibility.

Please list the features and content you think have been mentioned in this Darkfall review, and why you seem to be so excited about them, and why they justify 8 years of development.

Also your explanation of why things like city building, siegeing, naval combat, large battles and everything else on the official FAQ have not been mentioned in this review of a feature complete game that’s a few weeks from open beta and launch.
 

Why should we list any features from that preview to a Darkfall troll like you?

You want the game to fail so to me youre just a nobody.

You have to be answered though cause youre on a mission to ruin as much as you can for the creators of Darkfall as i see it.

This review just seems totally fishy.  This game has been in development since what, pre-2001 and all of a sudden in the past few weeks the dev team has suddenly got it?  They have had supposed betas, release dates, movies, dev chats, month after month, year after year, all of which promised some kind of great progress and all of which failed to produce squat.  Release dates came and went, time and again.  Beta dates came and went time and again.  Even recent beta dates seemed fishy with proclamations of beta starting yet NOBODY HAS LEAKED ANY INFORMATION except for a few reviews from "official people".  When was the last time this happened.  When was the last time that such a controversial game had a "beta" that admitted actual people but everybody was true to their word on the NDA and didn't leak one bit of information?  I have never, ever seen that happen.

This seems exactly like what DnL and Mourning did.  They let in a a few "beta testers", released beta "reviews" that were glowing reviews of the game, and then "released" the game, charging people money for it, only to have them log in and the game is a piece of shit with no quests, NPC's, lacking graphics, and only 5% of the promised features.

Hopefully I am wrong and fans of the game are right, but it just seems like everything that has happened is a repeat of past game releases.

I couldn't agree more.

Though I will say that even their crusty video they released looked better then DnL.  But this could be the worst "preview"  I've seen.  I mean "the rainfall can shadow the footsteps of an assassin behind you".....lol....c'mon.
