The folks at The Chronicles of Spellborn have announced the start of the European Open Beta test.

The Closed Beta is coming to an end, and it's time for the European Open Beta test to kick in!
Starting today, Thursday the 20th of November, you can register on the Spellborn Player-Site at https://eu-players.tcos.com for an Open Beta spot and download the game client.
The European Open Beta test of Spellborn will start on Saturday the 22nd and will end on Monday the 24th of November. This Open Beta test is only available to European Players from the following European countries:

• Germany
• Austria
• Switzerland
• France
• The Netherlands
• Belgium
• Luxembourg
• Sweden
• Norway
• Denmark
• Finland

Current European Closed Beta testers of The Chronicles of Spellborn will be automatically granted access for the Open Beta test and will not need to download a new game client nor sign up for Open Beta. The Closed Beta test will officially stop today, Thursday the 20st of November at 10pm CET. A Closed Beta Closure event will take place from 8pm CET to 10pm CET. The characters created during Closed Beta test will be wiped in preparation of the Open Beta.

I cant realy understand the develp team in this game.

It seems they got themself a real bad problem of there own making, not about the few bugs still in place ( and as whit any mmo they will be in the gold version)  

but by saying XX country does not belong to open beta, or even saying that England wont be alouwt to play on euro servers.

I liked the Beta play, infact, its the first fantasy type mmo I actualy like fromt he first few steps into that world.
 

but now (unless it will chance)  I wont buy the game, I have no need for a game were I cant play whit 100% of my friends , and as those friends are from all other the world ....whats the point of playing..

as a total new guy/girl to the mmo play  it be a damn fun game to play .  but anyone who has mmo friends they like to play whit wont play this game.

I do have to say that this game is FUN , in beta the quest were to long / to low xp but i expect them to up that.

It a PvP game,and a PVE game. RP is in the quest but hardly in the system , only system real good is the dressup part.  there bars and the game ahs huge potent to become a real RP game if they would focus on it, ( they wont as its a pvp game) 

The Gold release will be to soon, I personaly would not dare to call the game ready, but all its good ready parts make that look like a minor point.

I really don't see the point of having only Europeans could play. Open Beta timeline seems pretty short, too.

It seems like they are setting the game up to fail. At least a month or two befor the US. can play the game is not going to make Americans too happy.

UK isnt on the list - and only a 2 day beta?! Not worth the download for the lack of time to even test the damn thing.

Looks merely like a formality, publicity stunt, or a stress test "open" beta to me.

At these territories North America, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and South America game is published by Acclaim Games Inc. It is just a division of the market . But it is still not clear what other countries' people mast do. Use proxy? When Closed Beta was closed the IP filtering in Europe started . It's interesting what Acclaim will do? Will it start IP filtering to  Hope Acclaim will not do it , it is not comfortable to play trough proxy.

What's a good proxy program for playing MMOs with? Wont it affect the bandwidth with all that bouncing of packets? And any tested/recommended proxies to play thru?
