World of Warcraft

Yeah did this 1.5 years ago I realized whats the point of doing it again when they will just do another gear reset , reskin a few dungeons and release an xpac.

I got to 70 and thats good enough some people will need to reach 80 or 90 before they realize the same thing no problem as some people have a higher tolerance for pain.

Arena season 5 and tier 7 are high enough for me some need their tier 8 or 9 and arena season 6 or 7.

Atelast Blizzard supports recycling it really is a great concept and helps the enviorment.

WoW ! I am playing Warhammer- NA and this is big news coming from someone who is not even playing Warhammer. So they are merging 60% of the servers without any notice at all! This is insane. So I can log in and see my character in 4-5 servers and I might not even realize that.

Oh come on Xtort.   There is no reason to pretend that Mythic isn't merging servers just because they are not closing down the old ones.  When you log into a server and the management has put a freaking pop up message WARNING you that you should play on another server, that tells the whole story.  They are server mergers no matter how you try to paint them.

To the original poster:  Remove the open realm battles and there is not a single thing worth paying a monthly fee for in Warhammer.  Even the RvR while fun is questionable at best.  I can't even begin to describe how much better lich king is that my time in warhammer since the release.  Tomorrow I get to check out wintergrasp and see how that is.  From everything I have seen so far from lich king I have no reason not to believe it will be better that Warhammers open realm combat.

Wintergrasp is terrible and pointless.

The tier 4 open RVR in Warhammer is amazing, it changes the map, unlocks new zones and ties into the PVE game as well.

There's actual tactics in mass PVP in Warhammer, tanks using hold the line and huge formation battles with actual fronts.

WoW is just a zerg of kids running around spamming buttons at each other, Wintergrasp shows that clearly. The only real PVP in WoW is arena, and I can't stand that any more :)

Well surely it's obvious Wintergrasp is a poor man's copy of the tier 4 RVR model of Warhammer, except without the actual world PVP, without the zone locks, and without the endgame PVP of sieging and sacking the enemy capital :)

Wintergrasp is just 1 keep siege in an isolated place, that has nothing to do with the rest of the game. You don't even get top tier PVP gear there (that's only in arenas still)

Wintergrasp is just a BG, like Alterac Valley, it's about time they released AV2, but it's still lackluster compared to the world PVP in WAR :)

What is up with you?  Did you expect a major change? Remember NGE and what it did to swg?  Major changes are risky and players are fickle.  They are doing what millions have paid them for and because it obvsiously worked.

 

I agree and in a way it's stupid of me for faulting WoW for being WoW, I just find it boring and skillless, I guess I've moved on to bigger and better things :)

If you consider WAR this, then you are a failure, and have yet to realize that WAR is also a failure.  And that the only reason why the game isn't mind blowingly easy and repetitive, is because you want it to not be because its new.

Let's see, grind scenarios, grind pq,s grind instances, grind open rvr(which when i played, and from my friend who still plays) mostly is just taking empty keeps and then a little defense here and there.

It's a shame that everything in WAR is pointless.

Why?

Because theres no point to it.  It's that simple, WAR isn't that interestingly unique and it's engame is FAR worse then DAoC ever was, even with ToA.
