Silirrion gave the community a little update yesterday:

They are hoping to have DX10 client on Test Server very soon, good news!

Based on FC's past performance, announcements of things to come are not good news.  FC hasn't earned the right to be believed. Too many have resubbed in the past for content about to be released that either never was or was pushed back several billing cycles.

You know what would be good news? DX10 being implemented successfully. Once its done its good news. Before hand, not so much.

I wonder what new content theyre referring to.

Posts like this are so ridiculous. You don't even have the slightest idea what you're talking about.  You've fallen in with the herd of negative nancies and you're just chuggin along beside them. 

DX10'll be on the test servers, they'll iron out the rest of the huge bugs, and it'll hit the Live servers not long after that.

And it'll be grand.  "Oe noes!"

I got my DX10 machine, buying a graphics card for it here soon.

Even if you're right, that doesn't make me wrong. Are you arguing that FC has a good record of actually doing what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it?

Perhaps you missed the point of my post is that a mere announcement from FC doesn't count for much.

The herd of negativity you acknowledge exists for a reason.

When DX10 is successfully deployed that'll be great, but you'd be a un-wise to count on FC's announcement.

Am I the only one you finds all these "DX10 is coming soon" news actually insulting? I mean DX10 was supposed to be there at launch and we've been hearing for many months now how "DX10 is coming soon". It pisses me off. Same thing happened with pvp system.

Why can't they just stfu until the new content is actually on testlive?

Game is too new to have a 'recent' history significantly separate from its total history. FC would need to do its job properly for quite a while before they regained trust.
