A video to show what good, challenging PVE should be like, instead of the easymode faceroll that WoW PVE has become:

Lost Vale is the tier 3 instance that drops the epic Darkpromise tier 3 set, there are harder instances and city raid instances (not the early raid introduction bastion stair raid which anyone can do at 40) to be unlocked by conquering the other faction's areas in the PVP campaign. But it's already harder than anything in WOTLK :)

A couple of notes about the video (which is a few weeks old):

- Kiting the small spiders on spider boss doesn't work any more

- The hero add on lizard boss gives better loot from main boss if killed before killing main boss

- Some of the boss abilities were changed to make the fight harder (usually) or more interesting/different (less often)

- Shamans and archmages can no longer instant ress in combat (which they do constantly in this video)

Still, WARs AI isn't that impressing. Even if it is a litle harder than WOTLK, it is still kinda easy.

Difficult level have never been Wows salespoint anyways, Wow have many other good points instead. People who want's hard games play something else.

And if you want good mob AI you should try Spellborn, yeah it have other issues but bosses are really smart there compare to most games.

Sorry but WAR have what? 5 dungeons? No way that measure up to wow.

In PvP however I like WAR even if it feels a bit slow sometimes, but PvE just isn't WARs thing.

I'm trying to think of what "easymode faceroll" PvE content that you have been playing in WoW, but all I can think of are regular dungeons perhaps like deadmines or something. Have you even done any end game raiding? Most of those fights in the video looked like easier versions of fights from WoW, there are plenty of gimmick fights in WoW just like those, and more fights in WoW IMO that are much more difficult than what I saw in that video.

It seemed like the majority of that was /yawn tank-spank-n-heal, and then watch out for the one or two gimmicks that the boss has. In WoW you are usually dealing with multiple gimmicks at once that everyone has to pay attention to constantly, every player having to play strategicly for each phase of the fight on top ofeach player using basic cooperation, or else it could lead to a wipe.

I cleared BT when lolglaives were still rare, and Sunwell including KJ when it was hard, after the first M'uru nerf on pushback though :) Sunwell was good, hard PVE.

WotLK is a joke, it's a very poor PVE game made for people who can't play their classes properly but can still get all the epix and bosskills good players get. Lost Vale is much harder, more exciting and more rewarding than any of the raid content in WoW now.

That was challenging?  Maybe I missed something. /shrug

Edit: Anyone who believes this guy actually played Wotlk and knows what he's talking about, please... lol, supposedly his guild cleared all the raid content in a week or so yet he won't name them nor his characters. He's been condemning Wotlk PvP mechanics from the start yet doesn't seem to realize his 74 character (last time he did that) isn't even *able* to experience the new PvP Wotlk offers ... rofl.

At least he's trying though :p

Hey greyhooff, how are those server mergers working out in Warhammer.  If the gameplay is so much fun, why are players abandoning the game?   How many of Warhammer serverss now give you a 'warning' when you log in telling you to transfer off your server because it is dead.   Last count was like 60% of servers are offering the life raft?

WOW launched another 4 servers this weekend.  That brings the total to about 26 NEW servers in the last two weeks.   This terrible game sold 2.8M copies in the first 24hrs, and remains on the bestseller lists.  How is Warhammer doing?  Oh yeah.. it's down to number 498 on the selling charts.

You can post your opinions here all you want.  But the mass exodus from Warhammer and the huge growth of WOW (a 4 year old game) clearly shows which game players find more fun.

How long was Tabula Rosa out?  Lets see if warhammer can survive that long.  EA already pulled the plug on 4 MMORPGs for underperforming.. i'm sure they are watching those ' life raft' servers closely.

I hope they do pull the plug, then they can concentrate on their real game DAOC. Just update that game from it s first 3 years and you ll see a huge pop increase.
