He’s the VP, but he’s not speaking for Aventurine, he’s speaking only for GNi, so he might not know anymore then what they last told his company, things might be subject to change or he might not of been informed yet by Aventurine about any definite launch date yet.

In the first email response he used the words “plans are being made” and “in the next 60 days” that does not sound that definite to me, its quite vague and indicates to me that he does not have a specific date yet only a possibility.

In the second email he says “we will have a hosting centre up and running by Q1”, but he’s not explicitly stating Darkfall will definitely be using that hosting centre by Q1, I think he’s just saying it will be available by Q1.

Hopefully this does mean Darkfall is launching by the end of the year or in January but until Aventurine officially set a specific date we cant be sure.

This is correct. GNi plans to open the servers within 60 days based on the date Aventurine last gave them. The dates may change, but this confirms that Aventurine told GNi at some point the game would be ready by Dec-Jan. which means they actually do beleive the game is close to release. I doubt Aventurine would lie to GNi, that is why this is news to me. Tasos saying Dec. 2008 to fans in News section is one thing, but GNi confirming that Aventurine told them the same thing means it is more concrete.

Also, the Q1 2009 date for East coast servers is for GNi. You are right, that does not mean Darkfall will use them then, but it would make sense for Aventurine to have servers on the East coast as well as West. East coast servers would be better for East coast players and also for Euro players that want to play on USA servers(since East coast is 3,000 miles cloaser to Europe).

Remember Aventurine must of told AVE that they are aiming for a 2008 also, because AVE repeated it in their press release, it does not necessarily mean it will happen either.

I appreciate you took the time to find this information out but it could simply be that weeks ago when Aventurine and GNi agreed to work together, Aventurine told GNi they where aiming for a 2008 launch and have said nothing more to them since.

And this VP is just going on what his company was last told weeks ago, or on the other hand it could very well be that GNi are indeed privy to information that has not been released to the community yet, But I’m going to remain cautious until this is confirmed by Aventurine.

What are you talking about? I said "This is correct" in response to your post, meaning I agreed with what you said. Nothing is 100% about these dates. I guess you are just another person wanting to argue for no reason even when a person is agreeing with you

I asked GNi the questions to see if they knew anything new about release. The response I got confirmed that GNi believes the game is still set for release within 60 days. If they still believe the game is coming out in the USA within 60 days, then Aventurine has not delayed it yet as far as GNi knows and we have to go with what Tasos said and what GNi said up to now.

I apologise If you got the impression I was arguing, I was just talking about the information you had found, I agree in retrospect my post is a bit confrontational.

I also sent emails to GNi and AVE with similar questions but I never got reply’s , perhaps you could work your magic and try AVE next?

Heh idk about your area , but where i am you can get  CC(debt) cards at just about any big corner store, and that's all i use for online transactions . I will do what ever it takes to get the game when it finally launches thats how much my self  and many others want a game of this type , for me it dont matter if its DF or Mo or something new that pops up in the future  .

 

 

 

Well have fun with that and doing that for paying the sub each month.    Damn you guys must be really desperate to play this game.... Yeah no doubt there is a lot of crap games out there, Ive filtered my way threw them and Im not even on planing on trying DF. I already know I won't like it,  Ill just stick with my current game.

Then why the hell are you here if you are not going to play Darkfall? Just to shoot it down because you don't like it?

And to all those doubting OP, email GNi yourself instead of bashing his attempt to reveal some information about Darkfall.

Man most of the people in Darkfall board amazes me, like a bunch of hatebreeders sitting around campfires talking about how much they hate them blacks.
