Just wanted to let others know, I have a lvl 65 Death Knight about to be level 66 who's about finished with Terrokar Forest and he's still wearing all of the original equipment he had when he left the Scarlet Enclave at lvl 58 except for 3 items.  The only ugly greens I've had on were weapons and 1 ring.  The starting DK gear you get will last you long into Outlands, heck it may even get me to Northrend at 68.

I haven't come across any items worth replacing yet either; most looking for str and ap.  One thing I did notice though on your spec .... you've leveled herbalism already!!

Yep.  Wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be.  Took about 2 full days (about 6 or 8 hours I would guess) to get it to 300.  I believe they have also nerfed the level up process for professions.  For example I was still getting levels for picking green colored herbs fairly regularly.  I remember the first time I ever did herbalism it seemed that picking a green colored herb had a very small chance of leveling your skill.  Once I got to Outland and hit Nagrand I hit 375 in Herbalism VERY quickly without really even trying.  Unfortunately I can't level up passed 375 until I get to Northrend apparently and I may have to make a trip there to do that so all my herb picking now won't go for naught.

Inscription is also above 300 and it was fairly easy as well.  I do have a whole bank full of major glyphs that I'll probably never use, but nonetheless it was fairly easy to hit 300.  Maybe once the market for major glyphs thins out on the AH, I'll try to sell of few of them.  I haven't really tried getting it higher at this point, I'm sure I could get it to at least 350 with all the herbs and inks I have now.

Why? I had upgraded nearly everything by 63...

The first green rewards are better than the blues in alot of cases, get Rating Buster and learn how to stat properly.

All you should have left at 66, is possibly the cloak, bracers and boots. Every other slot should be upgraded by then, the gear is there.

Theres no reason you should have only replaced a weapon and 1 ring by that point, unless you enjoy running around in inferior gear when easy upgrades were available through everyday questing.

PS: Nvm, just saw your spec, nuff said. Bloodworms? no VoTW? no Vendetta and 3 points in SoB? (a useless talent for leveling), and thats just the tip of the iceberg, one of the worst specs I have ever seen.

The last thing you should be giving out is advice on the class, when you yourself lack the insight on how to correctly stat or play the class in question.

Good example of a bad DK.

Link to your DK please.

As far as my choices for Talents goes, I simply don't need Vendetta.  I have full health at the end of every fight, probably because of Blood Worms that heal me while I'm fighting rather than after the mob I'm on is killed.  If I ever do need any health, I'm an herbalist and have a free heal skill that does just fine.  I have tons of cloth because I never have to make any bandages.

How is SoB a worthless skill?  After every fight I have a full runic bar.  I can't use my runic power fast enough.  I start out a fight with Death Coil because it has a nice range of 30 yards.  I then hit it with Icy Touch when it gets in range.  By the time a mob gets to me normally they are down about 1/4 health.

The VoTW would probably be nice to do a bit more damage, but damage really isn't a problem, like I just mentioned above.

As far as my gear goes, yes I COULD have changed out a few things here or there, but for a very a minimal upgrade and I simply chose not to. The person I was replying to was making it sound like you would have to replace all your gear with ugly green gear and that is simply not the case. If you want, you might increase your strength a couple points here or there and get .1 more DPS if you really feel like you need it.

By combining SoB and Blood Worms, I have zero downtime.  I have a full runic bar and a full health bar after every fight and I mean every fight.  I never have to stop to eat, drink or bandage. Never.  I can go into a fight 1/2 way down on health and zero runic power and will come out of the fight full in both.  It works for me.  I don't claim to know the best way to spec a Death Knight.  This is my first attempt and it seems to work pretty well.  I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but I don't sit and read others opinions, I just spec it the way I want to and then will tweak it over time after I know how it plays.  For now it's doing fantastic.  I was soloing lvl 63 elites at lvl 62 and it really wasn't that difficult.  Don't really know what I was doing wrong.  Please enlighten me.

Looking thru this, most of the gear they mention is from instances.  I've solo'd my way to 65.  I'm sure if I did a few instances I would have replaced a few more pieces of equipment, but this is all blue equipment, so I wouldn't have had much problem replacing a blue for a blue, I did that for the chest piece I'm wearing.  I still would like to see the ugly green's that I should be replacing my equipment with.

It slays me how people with L70 Epics, especially past T4, think that WoTLK content is too easy.  They are running L68-71 content in Northrend (starting out) with equipment equal to newer L75-78 gear.  Congratulations!

If you want more difficulty, take off all that purple gear, and go buy L69 TCB greens to equip yourself with.  I promise you, you will be more challenged.  Want even more challenge?  Do the above, and then instance WITHOUT LOOKING AT STRATEGIES ONLINE!  If most people would just play the game, instead of reading step-by-step completion guides written by the experts and number-crunchers, they would find the game more challenging and rewarding.

I remember Zelda for the NES back a long time ago.  Finding all the treasure and upgrades was fun and challenging.  It took a long time to do all the exploring necessary to find the stuff.  If I pulled up a map of exactly where all the loot was, that wouldn't be fun or challenging.  If I looked up online, the layout of each dungeon, showing the keys, bosses, and secret chambers; where to stand for the boss fights, how to beat them...it wouldn't be fun or challenging.

So many gamers just don't have any imagination or independence any more.  They take the path of least resistance, then complain about the lack of challenge and difficulty.  A word about guilds clearing Naxx...the content is old, and from what I've heard, the bosses are similar to the way they used to be.  People are able to go in there at 80 and clear it because to many hard-core raiders...the content is already known.

 ZOMG, roflcopter!!

Sorry, just had to add that so I could fit in with the WoW crowd.  But...sadly...I now feel I've lost about 20 IQ points for doing so.

 ^^ LOL

So you are telling me.. to make the game more challenging I should take off the gear I've worked on and raided hours for? Because blizzard didn't want to make a game more challenging? You really must be retarded. Who ever said people have to look through strategies? To each its own..for leveling  I USE questhelper because I choose not to spend 3 hours looking for a quest area.  When you pay my monthly fee I'll listen to what you say.. maybe..

I love how people find the need to defend this game till the end.. I raid t6 and get rewarded with gear and you want to tell me to downgrade myself so I can challenge myself. I can also try driving with no hands on the wheel to challenge myself but its also stupid. But you are probably the guy in 69 greens even after playing 2 years of TBC or even after all the nerfs wasn't able to clear kara...I would've liked to see you run into Black Temple with no knowledge of the fight and see how it goes there for you bud. I can tell why wotlk fits you perfectly.

Don't be a tool. Questhelper? You don't want challenge. You want to do things the easy way. The easier the better. Yet, at the same time, you complain about the easyness.

100% fail.
