I really WAS very excited about it. But after showing and defending it to me friends and guild mates for more than a year, I had to step back.

Well boys, you can try even a chinese games in chinese, but for TCoS we live in an alternative reality. Spain is out of this world to Mindscape, Frogster and Acclaim, so is imposible for us to try or buy (I could by it, but not play it).

PRE-CU STILL LIVES!

I'll be giving it a try. WHo knows...might be the next big "sleeper hit" of the MMO world.

I like the fact that it doesn't hold your hand, and actually requires some effort. I am sick of the newgen MMOs that basically play themselves.

I remember back in 1999, folks kept asking me if I was stockpiling food. I always answered, "No, I'm stockpiling ammo and making a list of people who are stockpiling food"

I find many of the Asian games are getting better then the used to be.

ya, a few of those oriental games are getting a bit of something good... but actually this one of tCoS is more like french or something...

90% of games can even be played with a little keystucker or the little pinguin who kneels and with their nose push a key lol...

Also they have started a huge problem fo themselve with excluding the UK fro the EU.

I've been in Beta and yeah I might have subbed , but not now or ever while the have this policy of Excluding the UK and IP blocking.

I can see another AoC all over again ... when are these people going to learn not to be so arrogant and piss of a large portion of their potential customers even before its released. Beggars belief that they are so stupid too .

I played OB, this game was great, not just OK. It seems you put it down more than it deserves due to the isolation of UK players.

Adapt, don't cry, only kids resort to such a behaviour. And by adapting I mean you can just go around the IP block.

Do you wan't to feel my outside on your inside? I doubt it, so shhh and let me do what I please.

Lol steady on there kid, what happens if we get around the IP Block to find that they only accept certain billing addresses when we try to sub up. I'd say TIMESINK. Also as we are not legitimately  meant to be on those servers - we are not exactly entitled to fair or legitimate service. (as in we could be kicked with no warning - or ignored if we sent a ticket and they look at our account info etc etc).

Infact the sheer greed of the publishers to have carved up the EU this way really wouldnt suprise me if they let the undesirables sub up on thier servers for a month or two and then kick them in the hope that they would then be forced to buy another copy of the game and go to another publisher. The potential for exploitation here is massive.

Adapt, don't cry - seriously? so the fault and solution here lies with the gamers and fans of Spellborn, and by being stoic and stupid all will be fine? Riiight.

May contain nuts.

I am going to plead ignorance here and ask that someone explain what all this 'IP Blocking' nonsense is about. Thanks in advance.

Read the above clicky ^

Basically this is being implemented by the several different publishers, and is putting restrictions on who we can play with.

The worst affected are the many EU guilds and friends (family in some cases) who have members on different sides of the IP blocks, whom will never be able to play the game together. Think of it as the Berlin Wall ^^
