Simple question, are people still this obsessed with graphics? I mean come on it has been proven a hundred times already that graphics is not the key to a great game.

The main appeal of Mortal Online is not graphics.

U missed the point of OP.
Although graphic isn't the main aspect, too many gamers demand high quality gfx.

Hope their PCs choke with hq gfx when it comes to fight in large battles or play in crowded cities, where most of aware players lower it almost to min. anyway.

The U3 graphics engine is very scalable so you can just tune it down if you have a weak PC.

They've said that they have gotten surprisingly good FPS from their alpha client with rather weak PC's. Of course it still remains to be seen how much adding a huge amount of players effects that.

rageagainst, well then people are a bit dumb if that's the general reception they've come to. Fact is that while both MO and DF are looking to deliver a sandbox MMO they are approaching it differently. Saying that MO is DF, but with less features is simply ignorant, since you have no idea what features will DF be able to keep and also have no idea what MO will deliver.

Firstly its made on U3 engine which is scalable and thus allowing different systems to work well, while aventurine thought that they will succeed by inventing bicycle again, and came up with theyr own engine, which from looking at videos looks really clunk and sluggish.

DF with less features? are you serious? what features? universal banks? mounts, cannons and ships held in pockets? thats the features yall wanted in a sandbox? while if we look at MO we'll have real living mounts, real ships and normal banks etc. You cant really compare all those games features as both arent released and its unknow what darkfall will keep, and same with MO.

What do you mean by saying "normal banks". From what I've read, there's no statement about banking/storage. Although there shouldn't be global banking, cause it kills local economy, it's unknown if player's will be able to pick up their stored cash and items at any place.

As it goes about pocket summoning system, I have to agree that such system sucks hard. But how it's going to be solved in MO, is not confirmed.

im into graphics because it creates great immersion in game..if you're not bothered by graphics then just go play ultima online. if a game has great gameplay but crap graphics i still wouldnt play it..so you need to balance gameplay and graphics along with good audio effects to get a true immersive feeling.
