funcoms stock was at it's lowest point in the companys history before the financial problems hit the markets. you can easily see that by looking at the funcom graph and compaing it to the nasdaq, ftse etc graphs. It was about 10 nok lower than it was at the same point last year so its far more than just the world finances fault..

So its 39 cents a share right now, they own the rights to AoC which is still popular enough to make profit from subs, as well as other games. There is a small chance the company will go out of bissnuess, a slightly higher chance of the company being bought out, and a slim chance of someone buying them out. Hmm ... maybe buying of FC is worth it since if the stock goes up, or if they get bought, you'll still make profit.

Normally I think it would be probable for someone to come in and buy them out, but given the current financial situation, I think that may not be the case. I doubt even a giant such as Sony would be willing to take that risk right now, and especially in a market so saturated with higher quality competition.

Absolute rubish. .com companies world wide took a huge hit at the same time FC stocks decreased.

Im not sure if I posted this or just read someones post, but they said it best when they said "Fanbois could be shown live video of them reposessing the servers and still say this wont affect the game"

Posting good stuff about the game you play and like on the forum of that very game is not fanboish. Annoying Fanboism is when people start to wander off to other gameforums to promote their own game or to push other games down in the dirt. This is  what actually makes you to the fanboi. Judging by the time you spend over here posting, you are a pretty rabid one in fact. You keep posting page up and down with shit about AoC, even though you now obviously love Darkfall and also have not touched AoC in more than 3 months(actually not since before patch 2.0) . Arkady09, you are the fanboi, the people you point fingers at just simply post about the game they like on the right forum.

all I do is post my experiences and my take on the game.  I cant understand that you can not understand this? Someone cant see past their own take, it looks like to me.

Sadly the entire stock market looks like that as of late

yeah but Funcom set the trendIt started it's drop the week after release.

Funcom was at it's high on May 21 @ $10.95 USD it dropped  down to $8.15 USD  on June 20 and by July 21 it was down to $4.70 USD. Over a 50% drop in two months

By comparison EA on May 21st had a high of $50.39 USD, on June 20 it was at $48.34 USD and on July 21 was at $48.86 a drop of less then 1%.

EA did not start it's fall until the beginning of September when everything on the market fell. Funcoms stock started dropping at the same time AoC released, heck of a coincidence there huh ?

To further put things in perspective between May 2008 and today Funcoms stock has dropped over 96%, EA's dropped 60% and the  DOW average in the same time period has fell about 30%. Just looked up Take Two's stock numbers and it also was steady right up to September and has only dropped a little over 50%. Funcom is in a league of it's own when it comes to stock price drops.
