Darkfall

Yeah, SOE's tact in that instance was on par with the DnL scam I've read so much about.

I personally feel that it would be difficult to trump DnL (or maybe Mourning) for that title.  I'm withholding judgment until it releases or the company folds.

Well, sure it exists, but software that exists, but never releases, is nonetheless vaporware.

Darkfall won't be a joke, unless it releases and turns out to be as bad as Dark and Light, or it may be that with all the fan hype, Darkfall will be a joke unless it turns out to be the best MMORPG we've seen in a decade. It may be that after all the fan hype, even if it were just a decent MMORPG, it would be a joke because it didn't live up to half the claims of the rabid fans.

Well OP I would BAN you too. And I can see all other MMO's doing the same.  Though I dont see Darkfall EVER being a hit but so far the only joke I see and read is just you.. sorry

I've played Age of Conan at launch, and while I don't still play the game, the game worked well at launch and I had no crashes, no visible bugs that I noticed and I had high frame rates during peak game times and never got below like 50 fps, mostly about 80 fps. The game was even kinda fun, but some elements of the game I didn't care for.

Now compare that to Dark and Light or Age of Mourning.

..You have no idea what you are talking about stating that Age of Conan is the biggest joke in the industry. It is still a better game then 95% of all the Chinese/Korean mmo games out there and runs better/smoother.

You calling Age of Conan the biggest joke in the industry is about like saying that 'Coca-Cola sucks' because you are a Pepsi lover.

No seriously, please tell me how Dark and Light is a better game and less of a joke then Age of Conan. This should be interesting.

I suppose I'm confused and I read this because I'm bored.. Not really someone that follows Darkfall.

However, you basicly are freaking out and saying that Darkfall has the same issues as every other MMO.

Big name MMO's done by well known developers and/or companies... all have the same exact issues.  Somehow you make it seem unique to Darkfall...

Or even that its a mystery these things can/do happen.

What game lately launched with all its features in perfect working condition?

The biggest joke imho would be the companies that spend 70 to 100 million to release a toilet fish... A small developer with almost no budget that releases a game in the same state for much less would be less of a joke...

One would think.

Game could be vaporware.. I'm not a share holder, an employee and I haven't spent any money on a product that isn't out yet.  So I'm not sure exactly why it would be much of a concern for me if it was vapor ware.

The other things you listed as I've said.. are pretty standard for an MMO. 

Unless you can point me to the game that launched with all the advertised features, didn't cut classes or cities ... or put stuff off to an expansion and most importantly.. launched in perfect working order.

I remember some really good launched (like DAoC) but there was still many broken/unfinished things in the game.
