Oh, shit!  This is definitely and omen of the end of the world.  I have been optimistic to no end up until now.  I didn't think I could see anything to cause me to feel things were bad.  But seeing this has made me lose hope in humanity...

P. Diddy wants to be the next James Bond so much that he has apparently spent £500,000 making an audition tape.

The Mirror claims that the rapper took a private jet to the south of France to produce the action segment, which he hopes will sway Bond executives. The clip will apparently double as promotional footage for Diddy's fragrance, I Am King.

The 38-year-old said: "This is my audition tape for the next James Bond. There is a black President and it's time for there to be a black Bond. God bless..."

The latest James Bond release Quantum Of Solace took top spot in the Australian box office chart this week, having earlier stormed both the UK and US charts.

A black man could play James Bond, but only if he's British. I vote Seal!

Yeah, yeah, diversity blah blah blah, affirmative action yadda yadda yadda.

It all sounds good and dandy. But there are things that simply cannot and should not change. Bond was created and written to look a certain way, and it should stay that way so as to at least respect the author's vision. Would any of you be ok with Snoop Dogg playing the next Superman or Batman? didn't think so. Certain things should simply remain untouched out of simple respect.

Now if P. Diddy wants to CREATE a completely NEW character that shares certain traits similar to 007, then by all means, have at it! Personally I like it best when people simply create their own new visions or characters, for example Static Shock, which actually was a pretty cool cartoon back then. Instead of having old and established characters, be replaced or butchered by someone else. An example would be "The Question" I was pi**ed off to no end to have him replaced by Renee Montoya, she can't even hold a candle to the original, and as far as I'm concerned... she's nothing more than a poser with a mask, she'll never become what The Question IS.

• a black elvis impersonator

• Black Holes (they make the most destructive element in the universe comparable to blacks
• Black listed (it sounds bad)
• Black Twizzlers (they taste so so so bad)

But who can blame the people complaining? Pokemon is made by the japanese, and everyone knows what racist assholes they are. Heck, next they are going to develop a game in a which a white man is killing black zombies in africa.

Back when Pierce Brosnan was named the next James Bond, one of the networks interviewed Gene Siskel and he said he'd like to see Denzel Washington play 007.  But I have my doubts.  I mean, he's not British either.
