Darkfall

Aventurine said the game would be 2008, so if the game doesn't come to us in either release or open beta form, then I for one am done with it.  I love everything they promise but I won't just be led along a breadcrumb trail to nowhere.  The MMORPGItalia coverage was a joke, the beta players' impressions were nothing to get excited about, and Aventurine has been silent ever since.  It appears as if the game is in super ultra secretive in-house closed beta if anything, which makes it seem all the more likely that Darkfall will just fade into nothingness for another year or so until Aventurine releases another video with a new beta signup sheet...

All I want for Christmas is Darkfall, but I fear that Santa can't deliver presents that vaporize before they land under your tree. 

If they released now it would be stupid.  They won't be able to compete with the big titles that just came out.  That aside I would rather wait for a finished game than buy another "we'll patch it together" piece of shit like vanguard/AoC/Warhammer the last 3 big releases in my opinion.  And pirates of the burning sea, what the hell happened to that game.  Anyway this game NEEDS to be polished because the consumers are sick of this bullshit, and because they are kind of new, so they cant be buggy because that will get people frustratied for the wrong reasons.  Its true they have let us down yet again, but it may be for the right reasons.

Yes, I agree. If Warhammer Online is a piece of shit, then I also suppose DAOC is a total piece of shit as well, seeing as how they were both made by Mythic entertainment. And I'm guessing that you think Mythic is a total joke compared to the godly "Aventurine", heh.

But anyhow, yes.. If "Warhammer Online" is a "piece of shit" my friend... you just wait until Darkfall launches. And you remember just how big a "piece of shit" that Warhammer is in your own words as you try to install and experience what is coming if/when Darkfall ever launches.

Darkfall is what happens when I sit on my toilet and squeeze my ass cheeks together to cut a nice long piece of "dark stuff" that then "falls" into the toilet water below. "Dark-Fall". SPLASH! I am betting that "Darkfall" is indeed very, very appropriately named. {grins}
