"Next time i log in SWG ill probably see elves and druids"

is it just me who sees this as buying isk?

pay 34,99$ get 60 days time code

sell time code for 600 million isk (more or less i dont know the exact amount)

some one pays 600 mil isk gets 15$/month x2 30$ credit for CCP account

so in resume

Player A

Pay 34,99$     Get 600,000,000.00 isk

Player B

Pay: 600,000,000.00 isk   get: 30$ CCP credits

that seems to me like buying selling gold, and may disrupt the economy in EVE?

what do you guys think?

The doctors say his chances are 50/50...but there''s only a 10% chance of that.

Personally I'm against it, as I am against any spending of real life money to get an in game advantage.

However I do see that it is good incentive for people who have "made it" in the game to be able to keep playing, by using what they have earned, in the game.

Gamers who use RMT are like athletes who use steroids.

Of course it's RMT. They just added a middle step. Shame on CCP. This is the fundamental reason why EvE fails as a MMOG. Real money is not supposed to exist and gain advantages in a virtual world.

It should also be noted that the 600 million isk you'd get for spending your 35 dollars would give a player an incredible advantage at early stages of the game over another new player who does not spend their money as such.

RMT occurs in every online game. This system in EVE keeps the in real money going to CCP not some Chinese isk farmers. It also means that the people who will buy isk, get to do so in a safe manner, allowing for harm minimization. RMTraders are criminals that use keyloggers to get more in game credit and also will distribute your credit card details around the internet.

This system allows people who work for a living to pay for the unemployed to play the game. This also means those that grind don't have all the advantage (hand in hand with real time training). This really brings a very different dynamic to the MMO as there is a different custom base from any other game.

I honestly think GTC for isk is another reason why EVE is successful and will continue to be so. CCP is willing to do things differently and have a very different customer base in response.

in virtual worlds players should be able to kill children''s, f*ck the nanny and r*pe the granny

yes another thread about this ( yes OP you seek flame)
THIS IS THE BEST SOLUTION FOR EVE
yes you read it well
some explication

eve have a TRUE money SINK so a game like eve is a GOOD business for any chinese farmer
example:
1 in wow you buy gold w/ that gold you pimp your char and you are done
2 in eve you buy ISK you get killed few time and YOU need more

1&2 on bother situation you "lose" money
1 blizzard won 0 moeny farmer get money

2 CCP won some money farmer get less money

ppl who dont play eve cant understand this because play to much wow
any eve player that have IQ over 100 will know that a player who get ISK w/ GTC or buy that ISK is a source of money
imo is hope more and more player buy isk w/ gtc or from rmt is good for me because i can kill them very easy

here you can see some data about gtc prices

As has been said already RMT is going to happen in any MMO. Unfortunately there is no stopping it because there's a lot of money to be made by farmers. CCP's solution is an effective control of RMT in that it limits the value of the in-game currency and keeps it from becoming severely inflated.

LOL!!!

Please let me find those newbs in 0.0!

On the "factual" side:  Spending that cash as a true newb on ships, rigs, modules, etc is a waste.  The extra few percent advantage a superior item gives them is squandered as soon as they meet even the slightest of veteran.  The only place it is even remotely beneficial is for those who choose more advanced professions in EVE, like market manipulators and purpose built alts.  But those are established players.  Outside of that, I see many people use the isk for quick cash infusions due to pvp losses if they don't have a business alt, or if they just re-subbed to the game after a long absence and want to get back into the fray.
