hi,

so i have a couple questions and was hoping someone could help me.

I played this game in open beta, but never resubbed.

the reason was, my game ran a bit choppy in some areas (e.g. the greenskin starting area / places around there) but i remember when i would go into caves, or areas like that it would smooth out a bit.

now, i currently play wow and can run it on medium (no shadows or AA) at about 30fps in wotlk. borean tundra / howling fjord (not dalaran that place is a joke)

so, what im trying to get to is, can i run warhammer all graphics turned on low without it being choppy? (give or take a few areas)

(i dont care about graphics much just smoothness)

i cant play games where its choppy cause it makes my eyes hurt like hell.

also, could my beta problems have been from alot of people in an area (high pop beta realm) and just general beta bugs and stuff causing visual lag?

also my computer specs are

amd athlon 64 processor 3200+ 3.2ghz

2 gigs of ram

visiontek x1300 gfx card with 512 mem

plenty of hard drive space and all that good stuff.

sorry for the sloppy unorganized post.

and thanks for any help at all, its much appreciated.

No you'll still get some choppiness.   Your video card is an AGP slot card if I'm looking at the right version of the model and AGP holds you back alot.

It looks like you are pretty maxed out for what your system will even recognize for new hardware.

You can run WAR, but you will experience some lag, especially in the large RvR. Try to run the game as priority so that you have the benefit of your connection on your side.

Consider getting a lesser new rig though or looking at what your mobo can handle for more ram. My current rig has 6 gigs and I don't lag for even a second, but I only use about 3 gigs total between my OS and WAR.

He's bottle necked on the video card more ram will not help that much plus if his mother board is using AGP 2 Gigs is most likely the max.
