I pre-ordered Aion CE and played through the betas up until December. Have not logged in 3 weeks. My 3 month sub & 1 free month expires at the end of Jan and I see no reason to re-sub. I was not a heavy player, as I mostly play EvE, but did play it casually on weekends. I hate to say it, but the critics were right. The game is just boring. I did not even make it to level 25 and just got bored. No interest in starting an alt to go through the beginner area, again. The crafting is just a long grind and money sink. The trade broker is kinda weak, bad interface, limit to 10 times, no bidding, clunky. The combat is kinda cool, looks good but gets boring quick as well. There realy is not much I can say that was not said before. I do not think Aion is a bad game, it's polished enough but it simply lacks that factor for MMO players that have have some significant experience. It's too linear and lacks substance along the journey, as well as at end-game (from what I have read & heard in-game). A key reason why I don't want to renew is because NCSoft is not really active with the game post re-lease. Other than a few minor fixes and xp changes, they really do not care or pay attention to the suggestions given by the players. The official forums have little to no response from NCSoft. I, along with other, have been asking to improve the trade broker and nothing was ever acknowledged. Playing: EvE, Warhammer free unlimited trial, Allods Online |

I got tired of trying to report hackers and gold spammers and now there is a new program were they only show there names ! I really wanted to enjoy the game, after seeing the same bots-hackers and gold spam over and 0ver its just not worth it!
Enjoy the game.. later all |

I don't say is a bad game, but even Eve is boring sometimes. Hell , tell me a game which isn't boring from time to time. You played 4 months, and you`re only lvl 25? You should have quit the game early, as it seems this is not the game for you, since you can get to 25 in a week with casual game time. "Other than a few minor fixes and xp changes, they really do not care or pay attention to the suggestions given by the players" Care to give some examples? As I find it hard to believe , that in the first 25 levels you were faced some major issues with the game. You don't like the game? Ok fine, but don't come here and start saying bad thinks about Aion while they are not true. I don't say Aion is flawless , but I know what are the + & - and the one you just said, aren't true. |

You guys are full of it. First of all, they have to level to 10 to talk in global channels. Which was a change they implemented after the first month. Secondly, I almost NEVER see gold spam; even on brand new toons with no one on their block lists. They implemented some great chat filters that really work well. As a matter of fact; I get very surprised when I see the occasional message from a spammer. (Which is one message every couple of days.) If that happens I select their name in the chat channel and hit right-click and select "Block". How tough is that? If that is your sole reason that you quit the game -- I find that well... amusing. To the OP: I'll gladly take your stuff if you're leaving... :) L

I have a life, like work, wife, friends, sports, you know? Or maybe you do not. You obviously lack reading comprehension as well, as I only played the game on the weekend and not even that much, like a couple hours. I also did a lot of crafting, which is time consuming. The game is boring. It gets boring grinding quests in the rush to max level/. I tried to mix it up with crafting, gathering and the trade broker, but it's not enough. Obviously I am not the only one to feel this way. Aion has a good population, but it has shrunk significantly from launch, mainly for the same reasons that I stated. It gets boring quick. As for calling EvE boring, lol, just shows what a simpleminded person you are. Stick to themepark MMOs is my advice. Playing: EvE, Warhammer free unlimited trial, Allods Online |

That's just off the top of my head on when i post my thread regarding trade broker. Not one thing has ever been acknowledged. The spam & bots were the only things I noticed NCSoft actually take action on. Playing: EvE, Warhammer free unlimited trial, Allods Online |

AION has the worst gaming environment among every mmorpg I have played before. Full of goldsellers spammings and BOTs. Going quit AION after 3 days.

1. At release the search function was case sensitive but has since been patched to not be and there have been a number of other changes to the broker since release. No major changes as of yet but no major patch yet either. 2. LFG does need some work but the group recruit functionality has been improved where before when clicking on it you joined now you get a list of players with their classes and levels listed and have the option to apply for the group or not if you feel the group is appropriate for you. 3. All level based games are linear. You start at 1 and go to XX. The fact that you do your level 1 quests in one zone or another is window dressing. Having said that more content would be nice but I hope that they are working on releasing more high end content instead of worrying about the lower levelling content which people just go through once or twice. 4. This isn't WoW. How about more PvP options in your favorite game of Eve? 5. Ranged vs melee is an issue in every game and you have admitted you haven't gotten past level 25 and are casual so you obviously never figured a lot of things out in that regards of how to fight while moving.
Aion is no where near perfect and NCsoft does need to improve their communication dramatically but they have been working to improve the game and it is noticeable. I would like to see the bots and spammers killed quicker while in game especially on the weekends but hopefully that too is being worked on.
As to Aion being boring and Eve not being boring and you thinking people that disagree with you being simpleminded well that is just boringly predictable. |

The game really IS boring. Everything is either a grind fest or a money sink. And I still saw the SAME gold spammers day after day in the same spots. NCSoft just doesn't care about it. |

"owned by a korean company" != "made by koreans" Right, so then Blizzard and Arenanet is a multi-racial company since there are people from all over the world working and developing those games. Blizzard employs Koreans as well. So what? It's the ownership of the company that matters. |

I'll never resubb again sadly. I was very excited about this game, played in Open beta, and about a month into Release. Made it to 39 and was to much of a chore to grind. Took all the fun out of the game as well. To me, the game was overhyped and brought in alot more people due to that.
I've read that they made improvements to make it less of a grind, but all I hear is its still really bad, but what can you expect from a Korean MMO, and NCSoft? This is my last time supporting NCSoft. They have crappy customer service and dont care about the community <-- Truth! |

As for calling EvE boring, lol, just shows what a simpleminded person you are. Stick to themepark MMOs is my advice. This isn't a valid claim when you are talking about MMOs. They consume time from your real life (de facto no.1) and you can't use your other hobbies (sports in this case), living (work) or social commitment (wife, friends) as valid arguments when talking about MMOs. MMOs aren't casual hop-in fun. Try console games or single player RPGs. EVE is a great game, I give you that. You can advance in skils when not playing, TADAA! (not playing is the keyword here). In other words, you can have your life, wife, work and sports and still play online computer games, because the game is like a bot itself that develops you while you're not playing it. Well, mister, Aion isn't such and your comparison is very weak here. Not to mention the Ad-Hominem you just executed, your credibility just went down the toilet. Ok, enough about this OP. I'm resubbing, have resubbed till OB and if the games population stays as it has will for the time being. The game isn't about rushing to the cap (lvl48 sin here), but about playing on all levels after lvl10. Smell the roses, dude and you're on the right track. EDIT: Read some more and stumbled upon the ever wanted battlegrounds (WoWish influence for easy hop-in casuality). There's Dredgion once you reach lvl46. They are planning to increase the Dredgion appearance time (it comes quarterly now) to more frequent. I hope they don't make it like people can be in dredgion all the time, because it makes the game more like WoW and would kill it (see WAR for reference). And the fact you can't enter the dredgion until you're 46 is only a good thing. It keeps the game for the dedicated and keeps the twink gaming to the minimum. |

*sigh* another post about more of the same. So your dissatified with your purchase. So you have to go post that on a forum because No one else has the same complaints as you. Please spare us the "I'm Quitting" or "I'm not re-subbing!" line. Why did you post this anyway? You have brought nothing new to the table. |

Also Aion fixed the crash bug in Fortress raids. So all the things you mentioned are either improved or being improved on. |

Though I completely understand the OPs reasoning for leaving the game, I have a hard time supporting them in it being that they only got to level 25. Not all players can dedicate large amounts of time to a game, but posting and only being part of the way there, not having seen many parts of the game makes it pointless. Aion has some neat features, but the cool stuff doesn't out weight the bad, IMO. Once I reached 50 and saw how much of a grind there was for either the PvE armor or the PvP armor, I lost all interest. I can understand grinding for great gear, but for me, Aion was way over the top. The game was originally made for the Korean market, where they pay by the hour to play. For that style of gameplay, the game is perfect. However, for people playing a set amount monthly, it is just too much. Sure, there are changes being made, they had some bonus XP weekends (bonus effected all aspects including crafting and harvesting). There have been improvements in the broker use, but it's still very limited (only list 10 items for sale). Personally, the drop rate annoyed the heck out of me, yes, I would like a little more reward for my time, but that's just me, I wont speak for others. No, I don't want the top gear right away, I enjoy working for something, but overall, Aion was just too extreme. |

I re-subbed 2 days ago since i got bored from my usual games. But now, 2 days later, i'm very regretful of what i did. I remembered how boring was the game while you are leveling up or doing PVP (gank + unbalanced classes). Next time i'll keep in mind EVE Online for PVP and WoW for PVE, as always i used to. I stopped playing to post this shit |

Maybe NCSoft should take note and realize that most of the players quitting the game are doing it due to boredom and lack of any advancement by NcSoft to grow the game.
