I could use a dl link! |

I got my invite for the beta last week. I downloaded and ran the PC benchmark tool: it wasn't pretty. |

I'm in! But I'm already not interested =( I will give it a spin though and check things out. Maybe I'm totally wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. |

I am curious how a lot of this discussion is not breaking the NDA. Unless I am reading it incorrectly, even mentioning that you are in beta is against the Beta Tester Agreement. |
|
I am the only one still got: You could not log in because the service account in question is not registered. |

I didn't get in this round, oh well. X_X |

Originally posted by Valdos First of all, you would be surprised at how many people use the same screen names. Second, that is not the point. It is about following the rules when you are given the opportunity to participate in testing. Of course I do realize that it is probably a difficult task for many to actually do what they are supposed to. My point here is not that individuals are breaking the NDA, but that there are NDA breaking discussions going on in general. |
Originally posted by teknician Or think of it this way.....if SE had a distribution system that would allow someone with a 10 meg connection to download better than 25 kbs and it takes 60+ hours, then this discussion would not be going on. |

Originally posted by Elidien but if they had more direct download they wouldnt be invinting this many people because it would cost more money so deal with it and be glad you got an invite |

When does the actual CB start? maybe connections are being deliberately throttled?? who know's but like others have said you got an invite, suck it and be happy that you even will be able to test it, heck i got no invite but i can tell you this if i did get one i wouldn't be whining like some of you in here because your client does not download fast enough. Just relax and let it do it's thing, go play another game, take a walk, get laid i don't care but please stop complaining because you have lousy download speeds to a game that plenty of us would love to test but can't and just rubbing it in that you will soon be able to play. |
Originally posted by Raxeon Also, depending on the company and the contect of the NDA, you can mention that you are in a beta as well as things such as download speeds without it being considered a breach of NDA. Some companies only care if you mention the actual in game experience or beta forum material. But, even if the company allows it, some sites may have a strict 'No ANYTHING beta' policy in place, where they don't even want people to make mention of being in beta or alluding to it. There are 3 types of people in the world. |

And as for the comments about the fact that the discussions are just about the download- if you are in beta, why not discuss this in the beta forums? |
Originally posted by teknician i can downlaod the client with out being in the beta SO. meh it doesnt mean they are in the beta if there downloading it and saying it has crappy speeds. but who gives a F about if there in it or not |

Originally posted by Raxeon Sorry, I could have sworn that this thread was about being in beta. Why would you need to download the beta client unless you are in beta? |
Originally posted by teknician if you do get an invite then you dont have to worry about downloading it |

Any clues as to how many, or how often they're being sent out? I keep checking my email and crying *sniffles* |

Originally posted by Raxeon I admit that I do see your point about the download. But that still does not change the fact that the majority of this thread is people breaking the NDA by talking about being in beta. I suppose it really does not matter much because people will do it regardless of the rules and most likely nothing will be done about it. I just think it is interesting, that is all. |

how is everyone downloading the client because everytime i logg in i get server maintnence |

No Email for me either =( I summited my beta application multiple times a while back accidently, will this make me not be able to join beta? |

Originally posted by Corden Nah almost everyone did that I guess, I did.
edit: btw the servers aren't up much, can't say more without breaking nda but just try to get in before the next beta; for now it is purely testing the most basic stuff. |
