Looks like someone dropped the ball, in terms of greasing the proper hands over there. Thats what these types of objections tend to boil down to, in the final analysis (at least when dealing with politicians). Personally, I do not really care one way or the other about the AH. But I have no problem with spending money on games I enjoy. |

Originally posted by Calerxes I suspect those make the proper "contributions" to the politicians in power. Besides, they are Korean companies, and aren't held to the same standards as those of foreign companies. Anyone who has ever done business in Korea (or much of Asia for that matter) can tell you how that works. |

I think the RMT is a good idea. People are going to electronic goods even if they took it out, you can't stop it. Yes, more people will do it now because it will be safer. Jealous because you don't have the budget to spend a couple bucks? Well, you know what, you can sell things to make some too, to then buy what you want.
This whole, maw! They lost my 60$ because the RMT, lolwhatever maybe you shouldn't be spending any money on games if your budget is that tight. Good thing this forum is free. The RMT is going to happen in North America and it is a good thing. |

Hi guys there is a server without RMT for Diablo III, its called hardcore mode. Come play it with me and stop p***ing out, k? Thx.

It was a great game for PS1 too... Really fun to play 2 players.

In my opinion, blizzard should be allowed to post diablo III items on ebay under various ebay accounts, sell the items to players, and then shortly after delete the players account for buying items online. That would end all of this pretty quickly... Play as your fav retro characters: cnd-online.net. My site: www.lysle.net. Blog: creatingaworld.blogspot.com. |

I've heard the botters are already in the beta with people like "ZERYZZFE1235134 has entered the world." LOL. I hope and pray that there's a lot of botters to flood the market and keep the prices down. Paying more then $3-$5 for the best item in the game seems worth it, but not a penny more. Originally posted by Fadedbomb Exactly. Any 'regular player', even one who plays for a ridiculous amount of time, will never make a cent on the RMAH. It will be completely dominated by bots run by the gold farming/selling companies. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply fooling themselves. This is Blizzard's way of saying, "Well, we can't beat the gold farmers, so we may as well just try to get our cut of the money!", and it's 100% despicable behavior on their part, not to mention how disingenuous they're being as to the reasons for allowing RMAH to begin with. To protect the players MY ASS. It's greed, plain and simple, and they're looking to get paid for doing nothing. I've washed my hands of ActiBlizz, deleted their products off my PC, and will never give them another dime of my money. I'd hope that anyone with a shred of integrity left would do the same. |

Such irony, considering Korean MMOs are usually plagued with RMT, but I guess that since you are unable to take money out of the game it's not considered gambling, just 100% spending money. It isn't really gambling but finally some effective trading as you're able to buy and sell items for real money. Gambling would be any RMT purchase that involves RNG in the outcome of the item, more so when the odds for the items are not equal but different such as only 1% of getting the best item from that RMT box. |

"Blizzard Removes RMT to Get South Korean Approval" was what I saw.

D3 has no offline play, online only to combat pirating. Member of Talon | www.lakexeno.com |

Sure Blizzard may ship it with no offline mode, I give it at most 1 month before someone like Skidrow/Reloaded/Razor1911 have cracked/engineered a work-around. Depending on popularity maybe a few more months after said crack for a Hamachi port to appear for lan play. The sad part is if it were offline/lan-able out of the box, with no RMT AH they would most likely have a couple hundred thousand more sales instead of people waiting for above pirates. |

If more people stood up to BliZ and sent them their opinion in the US or even approached the legislators about this issue they would most likely have removed it in the US as well unless the government found a way to tax it. |

Originally posted by cpoustie This is both sad and true lol. Blizzards new approach to online Piracy is to force people to do it XD. This will likely go the way of Real ID, large ammount of protesting and etc. but the problem is this will likely be a little to late to stop it. Blizzard will be the one to lose in this though, not the players because yes... some are already getting prepped to give people offline mode. |

Yeah, thats going to make things SO much "better"... Haven't we had MUCH more than enough problems due to people howling "Government should DO something about that!!"?... If you don't like the way a game is set up, then by all means don't play it. But advocating getting government involved, is very much how matters have reached their current dire state. |

There are actually conflicting reports about what was removed. Blizzard says the RMT is still in but there just isn't a way to cash out. |

This was their original intention. They never intended for you to make real cash off the game. Member of Talon | www.lakexeno.com |
