Here is the email I received from them Some of the Pionner players contacted us to inform us of a deduction that has been made on their account in respect of one month of subscription for the Dark and Light game. User error is to blame guys. Second option down on the menu when you login to your account details is to unsubscribe. I don't know where people are getting their information that you can't cancel your account. Say what you want about DnL. Yes, they suck. But this isn't Farlan trying to screw us. This is totally user error. Trust me, I got caught up in this also. With click&buy there are two sections where you have to cancel your authorizations for Farlan Entertainment. Trust me, there is a lot of fault witht DnL. I cancelled and forgot one section on the click&buy website as well. They can't code against us being stupid.

Maybe YOU should read what people are posting on official boards & here.
Then you have the entire thread that is named " C&B charging without subscription". People HAVE cancelled & they still get charged, those that removed ALL info or billing premission in the C&B-account did not get billed. Also how do you explain people getting billed for the client software?
Also changing to a monthy subscription WITHOUT user authorization is illegal in any civilized country. If they had a brain they would have cancelled those accounts instead of charging them. My conclusion is: either you are a troll or on the payroll of Farlan, because noone is that naive. |

I gave Dark & Light a break for years while it was in development. The day they launched it as a piece of crap instead of the promising game it was meant to be, they lost ALL credibility with me. They made their bed, now they can lie in it. I'm over it and moving on to the next promising games next year, they blew their chance.

Ya, you are right, changing people's subscription without their permission should be illegal. Unfortunately, I don't know the laws of France. Like I said, they and Click&Buy have informed ME about the chargeback. But to sit here and not acknowledge the fact that the DnL team has identified and dealt with the issue is more than naive, they are a Turbine fanbois! (Yes, biggest insult in the MMOG community. If the shoe fits, wear it.)

They deserve to serve time in a prison for fraud. That's the break they deserve. |

Ya how the heck is being called a Turbine fanboy and insult. Lol. I could see saying a mourning fanboy seeing as how that game never happened or even NGE fanboy since is a pretty heated topic, but Turbine fanboy. Sorry its too funny. |

AC2 bring back memories? SWG's NGE bring back memories? At least people are getting their money back from DnL. Fans from AC2 got took and never saw a dime of their money back. Yet people stand by Turbine like they are angels and can do no wrong. Same with SWG's and the expansion right before they announced NGE! The expansion that was fixing many of the different professions like creature handler and the rest. Only to find out the next day that NGE was happening. Now that is fraud friends. This company acknowledged what they did wrong the day it happened and corrected it. Why are you calling for prison time for them? That is insane.

So wait you think they are doing this out of care for their customer base? LOL keep dreaming. They are doing it because simply put. Credit companies do not tolerate fraud, and have big time lawyers that handle such cases. Oh, and that little AC2/SWG to DnL comparision is seriously flawed. |
