Managing Editor Jon Wood rings in the New Year by looking back at the last year at MMORPG.com and introducing the site's new management team.

Dear Members,

I would like to take this chance to say that I hope everyone had a great holiday season, and that the New Year finds you all well. While 2006 marked a year of growth for the MMORPG.com community, 2007 is going to be the herald of change.

2006 saw our membership pass the half-million point, allowing us to move onto a three-server system. Along with the membership increase, so too did our forums grow not only to include over 1 million posts, but also to support an area for each of the games currently listed on our Games List. We also brought you coverage of the major MMORPG events of the 2006 including: E3, Austin Game Conference, Penny Arcade Expo, Game Developers Conference and more.

Thanks for the sentiments and Happy New year to all the staff there - and kudos on the new site look!

It's nice to hear a bit about the people behind the scenes.  I look forward to a better year for MMO's this year, and I'll continue to rely upon your site for the latest news, goss, reviews etc.

Former UO player for 8 years. Cancelled because I am sick of eating shit
LOL, i look forward  to another year of getting my info on MMO's from you guys. I can say though I do miss the old look

Good luck to all you guys this year. And can we get some more 1337  beta giveaways and more interviews and more reviews and more everything...Oh the year looks bright

I am also looking forward to 2007. This website is great, and I enjoy the new layout. Also, the Game/On Podcast is pretty good and its great to have all the latest news at one place.

2007 is set to be a far better year than 2006, thats for sure! With Darkfall Online perhaps going beta (not vaporware), Vanguard Saga releasing very soon (great game!), Age of Conan possibly hits beta/release, Warhammer Online possibly hits beta/release, Unleash the Fury hits beta/release, Bioware project will probably be announced, as well as the announcement of Green Monster Games project! Plus dont forget about everything else I missed. And also there are bound to be a few more games announced in 2007.

Tis going to be a great year overall!
