My first character was, and is, a ranger who is now level 21 and out of Tortage. My second character is a conqueror, just now level 10, and I'm finding it a bit harder with her. For example, the quest where you have to go get the fish from the docks for the NPC (Iggath, or something) involves getting about a dozen level 10 pirates/thugs. My ranger was able to sneak past most of them, but when he had to fight, I was able to take out 2-3 at a time at the same level with little problem. My conqueror, however, can easily take out ONE pirate, but two pirates almost always kill her. I don't understand why it's so much harder - especially because you would think that a conqueror would be superior in melee to a ranger. I'm using the combos pretty well, and am armored up with both characters. Anyone else having trouble with their conquerors? Suggestions? |

I can easily kill more on my 26 Conqueror than my Ranger but Ranger has more direct damage. Melee is weaker. Also its Lv10 so your health is a bit scaled down, at about 14+ you'll see yourself doing much better and at 16 (you get charge and more stuff) you will be awesome. |

i have a conqeror and is about lvl 13 now and i only died once so far and when i did die it's couse of this. i started to fight 3 targets and was only hitting 1 couse i did not line them up right, you have to move till there all in the swing range of your weapon and you slice them all down fast, so if you take on more then one target dont let them get on your side move to make them bunch up infront of you just a tip hope it helps |

At lvl 65 i saw good part of ranger gameplay, alltho i have feeling best is to come. ATM i find ranger best ranged single target DPS, i can take out 5 - 6 lvl mob boss without touching me, but 3 mobs of same lvl = trouble. |

I have a level 21 Conqueror and a level 19 ranger, and I also find ranger more easy to play (at least solo). Even with just a random shield and sword, my ranger can kill a level 21 enemy with 2 melee combos (i don´t even bother to use the bow, because sword + shield is so effective), while my conquerer, with a good sword and armor, need like 5 combos to kill a level 19 wolf. I also find my conqueror lose much more health, even against a single -1 lvl enemy (compared to a +2 enemy for the ranger). While playing from level 1-19 in tortage, i could run through every quest with ease with my ranger, while my conqueror died a lot. I guess I do something wrong with my Conqueror, but the fact that I have tried different auras, stances and food/drinks but still have a hard time, while with the ranger I have just played ahead without much thinking and still do everything much better tells me that ranger is a much more easy class to play than conqueror. I´m sure conqueror is a great (or better) class if you can play it, but i find ranger a better class to play if you are a noob like me, and just want to grab a sword and play. |

With the build I was using, with carefully watching my health and stamina, at level 28 I was taking out groups of 2 or 3 lvl30's and a lvl30-31-epic. So I guess really it just depends on your tactics, and making sure you're doing optimum damage to drop them before they drop you.
Edit: I do remember dying a couple of times on the fish quest. But gameplay as a conq picks up as you progress |

I was hungry....What! |
yea i have a lvl 40 cong *Tyranny Server * toon name " Ghalis" it picks up trust me yea i get my rump handed to me but other then that, they do get better i take lvl 42 in 3's that gets me at least halfway down with health but i've trained more for DPS DMG straight out so the faster i blow out combo's the faster they fall just remember a DW CONQ is more like Time Bomb Combat, make the right moves fast or pay in the end |

Hi,
I have a lvl 23 Con, and i find it easy to fight 2-3 targets at my lvl. But i have ot make sure my postion is good or i get bashed from all sides easy. But i think if ur more comfortable with a lil space between u and multiple targets you should go ranger. But i still am going to still with my Con in my opinion its a great tank type chac if played right. Just if u ever group up try to group up with a Con that knows how to postion hiself other wise he is just going to be of a hender to you and ur group then helping u. |

I have both a Conc and a Ranger, and I find it is easier for me to play the Ranger. I just suck at melee classes though. |

Best solo classes: Tos, BS, Necro, Demo And also you can't decide which class is better or not before you reach a certain level. |
