Hey,
There is no big difference in duel or single sword weilding exept for the combos...Most of ur combos that u learn though levling can be used with a single sword weild but duel swords hav there own combos which can only be used while ur duel weilding... Personally i belive that besides that there is no real affect so i say choose which ever one u like to fight iwth or what ever is ur style.. and it shouldnt have to much a differnece to ur game play but be opened minded and keep a great sword or something in ur extra slot so u can swtich back and forth from duel and single sword carry. |

Regardless of combos, I find that with dual wielding I can get a quicker follow up on my next attack if I use my attack directions carefully. For example if I attack with a single main hand weapon I have to attack, recover, attack, recover, etc..... regardless of which direction of attack I use, but with dual wielding the directional attacks trigger the main (right) and off hand (left) attacks instead. (with overhead being main hand also) I can throw in an offhand attack immediately after a main hand attack, and then come around again with the main hand. My ranger can dual wield with a dagger in his off hand but I'm not sure yet whether to ditch the dual wielding in favour of using a shield for greater protection, as the dagger he's using is a relatively low damage weapon. We'll see :) |

Basicly you attack a little faster dual wielding but do less damage. The dammage actualy evens out in dps. Most of the diferance comes in your feets. Duel wield is the reaver tree and it does not have as many cc's as the dual wield one. I like the dual wield personaly, but it depends on play style. |
