My copy of CoX just arrived. I've installed it and am busy updating it, but the downloader has started at 407M/2.4G. Considering the disk including everything up to issue 7, is it supposed to be such a huge update? |

They are at issue 12 I believe right now, which added in some heroic archetypes for villians i think, and some new people, midnight somethings... I dont play the game, but I keep up a little about it thanks to my friends. That may be why its so big though. |

Thanks, but not I'm officially confused. I quit the downloader so I could have a quick game of Guild Wars. Before I started Guild Wars I restarted the downloader just to check that it does indeed save one's progress. It was on 666M/2.4G. When I was finished playing Guild Wars, I started the downloader and got a patch server error. I then quit the downloader and restarted it, now it's saying there's only 569M to download
It says it's downloading Version 12.20060713, but at the top of the window it says City of Heroes Updater v16.20071011.1...

The CoX downloader will ALWAYS read 2.4 gb. It's something they've never addressed -- don't worry about it though, it's all good ( ' : |

2.4 gb is the size of the file on your computer. You are mainly, as I understand it, downloading modefications to the 2.4 gb file. Also, the patching has always been a problem with CoX. |

It will take some time. Fortunately, you only have to do that once. Start it up before dinner or something - it has taken me 2-3 hours on a fast connection. If yours is a little slower, overnight wouldn't be crazy. |

Yeah Ive gottem something like 33hours to patch. Also the patcher might be verison 16 and the game 12. |
