Wow.

Uhm. . .  I mean, not "Wow", but just Wow!

As in: "I can't believe he baited you all and you fed him!"

(Note to self: In the future tailor the complexity/depth of comments to the level of the audience discussing to prevent comment being removed)

I'm not sure why this thread was put into the Everquest II forums except to kick sand into the eyes of EQ2 players.  Although I like World of Warcraft and didn't like Everquest II, everyone is entitled to play the game of their choice (last I checked).  It appears from where I sit, this is intentional antagonism.  How about a thread called, "EQ2 players, give World of Warcraft a shot!" or "Reasons why I find World of Warcraft more enjoyable" minus the slams against the Sony product ?

Even if this thread wasn't a comparison of the two games and the original poster was just pointing out some aspects of EQ2 he/she found lacking, they would still get attacked for saying anything but sunshine.  You know what I mean, the same people telling them to go away if they say anything negative, how EQ2 is for mature people or the same type of nonsense that somehow faults the person posting for the issues they had with the game and not the game itself.  Listen to some of the reasons given and see what I mean.  For example the user interface is bad because SOE knew the people that subscribe are smart enough to fix it with mods.  Which is about the stupidest reason I have ever heard.

The original post was doomed from the start as many of the EQ2 forum goers virtually circled the wagons long ago against any negative views about the game.  Not that there isn't some good discussion hiding in there, but it gets washed away in the other mess.

The main issue is, the OP used lies to back up his opinions...

Sure, he can express any negative view about Everquest 2, but what he said about eq2 dungeons is a pure lie, not just his point of view.

Im not sure what was his intetion to tell the truth.

WoW has way more dungeons, at any level I would have a choice of at least 3 at any given time, EQ2 has for the most part 1, and for me I get tired of doing the same one for 5 or 6 levels.  I could give facts on this issue but it would make this post even longer.

Op claims theres only ONE "level appropriate" dungeon

and Op claims to have facts to support this

for Ops benefit,  EQ2 public dungeons

Actually, the PVP server is not dead, it is the second most populated server. You fail.

Extremism in the defense of Liberty is no vice.

Hi everyone it's me the OP.

In reading all the replies, I take it that a lot of you think that I'm baiting EQ2 players and some feel as if i'm telling lies, and some agree with at least some of my post. However all I'm doing is stating my opinion, in some cases I may not be 100% but I still stand by how I feel.

Population... How can you argue that most all servers in WoW have a much larger player base, close to 24/7 WoW is well populated than any server in  EQ2.   EQ2 is a West coast evening game and a night time East coast game. and yes I'm talking about 2 larger servers Antonia Bayle and Crushbone, both servers are super low at 9 am and do not pick up AT ALL UNTIL 6 PM and 9 PM is prime time.

Maps......Are just bad, and navagation in the EQ2 world is not friendly to a new player at all.  More so than the countless MMO's I had played, By level 36 I got the feel of it and was able to get around well, but It was an irritating 36 levels to get to that point.

Soloing........Anyone that had stopped playing this game and does not post here anymore will agree, I know I've been reading this forum for two years now, It's not a matter of skill when you set out on a quest at level 35 in the Enchanted lands to get supplies from Bogbottom Mill, set yourself up, shoot an axe and get killed by 7 mobs at once form no where. Then try to get someone to help but only 3 players in the Zone but can't  ( read population ). Same thing on the beach of Thundering Stepps. This is only two  examples of many situations just like this !

Graphics and zoning....I must say that the 1-20 areas in Rise of Kunark are much better, but they still have a plasitc look t them. Most of EQ2 is still out dated such as the Antonica, Thundering Steppes, Commonlands and Nektulos forest.  Something needs to be done about most areas.  Almost no trees and the land is just flat. Thundering Steppes has that little gully you have to use to get by the rediculous amount of skeletons that just seem to irritate players as they try to get to there destination.  Zoning I'm sure is bad for most but I have a good computer but it could suck for me sometimes also.

PvP.......Just not that much to talk about here, cause there is none.

I may have been wrong about WoW having way more dungeons than EQ2, maybe just a few more.  But I do have to say other than Crushbone Keep most all dungeons are just caves at least up to level 36.  I kind of liked them anyway, but I'm spoiled from D&D Online.

I gave the best examples that I can, trying to back up what I say, how can you ask for more.

To the best of my knowledge i'm not lying and as far as baiting, I would  have to say it looks that way now, but some of the replies got me mad, and I feel as I  have to stick up for myself with back up.

Page , this is not personal

But you still wrong

Everquest 2 has more Dungeons than WoW, from 40-80 the number of real dungeons in eq2 is huge, only 2 low level dungeons look like caves in EQ2 and after level 35 you start to experience some really good ones.

Sorry, it is not a matter of
