I saw this post today, and just could not resist posting... Thanks for the constructive feedback guys. I know launch has been stressful especially on attaining support for your in-game issue but we have been set on improving it more and more. In all, it just comes down to the large flood of questions that normally come in with any launch. Though, I will not try to input that as any excuse because really we want to offer the best support we can always.

Uh. Does he realize that launch was 4 months ago, or is it like I believe, and that Funcom still thinks 4 months out is considered still a launch? Maybe because after 4 months the game is still not ready, So everyday is a launch when they get up, go to work, and start all over? |

they're just trying to reduce damages done. its like Damage control. You cant have the community manager saying "we screwed you guys over for four months and made you pay for a game that barely works so thanks for providing us the monies to support our patches!" Just the nature of the beast I suppose. |

If anything is assumed to be other than bullshit, theres something wrong with the perspective. |
Funcom should have known how much employes they needed for doing support. And they need a better system to filter trolls from people actually telling them something useful. Cos I got ignored many times when I tried to help them, which would disturb the mind of any player totally. Also, how hard can it be to make the ingame petition work atm with so few playing the game? Everyone can tell about how well they do now, but the real test was the first 1-2 months of the game. Now its possible too late. |

Funcom was out of time and money and had to release when they did. They hoped sales would be alot better and subscription retention would stay high but it didn't. That way they could staff up after launch and slide through with only minimal losses. I dont think they thought we would level as quick as we did to find all the problems with the game so quickly. The big flaw in their plan was the community doesnt take being lied to well and now they are reapingwhat they save sown. |

And you are assuming the 400k is the correct number of subscribers now. Maybe there is...until their scrips run out. I agree that after the influx of cash after the massive sale from the lied about features, that yes, Funcom is ok for now. I do not expect bankruptcy, but I know it is nowhere near the hit that 400k would have made the game. That 400k is probably about 100-200k, and as long as they continue riding their vaporware trail, it will drop even more. |
