SCIENCE PROVES CAPS LOCK CAN CURE CANCER.

I just watched the Leipzig interview, and in about halfway he mentioned that there would be a sort of "trial" version of the game that was going to be f2p. That's pretty interesting to me, this game looks to be shaping up very nicely and I'm one of the types that doesn't like to buy something unless I get my hands on it first. Overall though I'm not sure if it is beneficial or harmful... the only thing I could think of that could be bad about this is how far they plan on making this "trial" version apart from the real version and what they describe. I'd hope it would be something like "Play the full game to lvl 10 then it's P2P" or something. I'd hate it if it was something like, "Well, both versions are exactly the same, but for you to get the full benefit, you have to buy special items that are 5 bucks each!" I hate those marketplace type of systems, as do alot of people from the standard 15 bucks a month.

Anyone know much info on this and what your opinion of this is?

This question is going to come up. A lot.

Answer: Acclaim Games is going to offer a free peek at the first zone in the world. As far as has been said is there's no time limit or anything, but to advance into the rest of the game you'll have to buy a copy of the game and subscribe just like every other (quality) MMO. Someone said it's like what Ryzom did with a free starter area. I didn't play Ryzon so can't confirm this but it sounds about  right. It will basically be so people can try out the combat system/other shit before they decide to dive in for the full game.

TL;DR - it's not F2P and there's NO item market bullshit.

And there ya go!

Thank you, I'm very glad to hear that. All MMOs really should do this sort of system, it's a great way for people to trial the game. The only companies that wouldn't like this are the ones who are trying to hide the crappiness of their game from the public.
