I was wondering... how practical is it to play the US version in the EU?

Do you need to download the whole client or can you convert the EU one somehow? And then once you do that is it easy enough to be identified as a US resident?

Just wondering as it might be worth trying if it's easy enough, just while EU beta is having issues.

Im not sure if this is what you're asking, but with WoW I played on all US servers from France for a long time with no real problems or much difference from playing from the US.  Should be fine with WAR as well?

It depends on your connection, I have quite good connection to US. You can just preorder it from internet shop and they will send copy to you. And fee is lower for US. I will play on US servers for 2 main reasons: I don't trust GOA and my guild plays on US servers.
I think you can't use EU version to play on US servers, probably they will have different registration number (and config files for servers/patching, but this is easier to change).

Ah ok, thanks.

Where did you download the US client from?
