Ok, so here's the situation I'm in...

I got up at 8:30 sunday to register for OB, along with thousands of others I recieved captcha image problems and 414 erros all through the day. The next day I used their revised system at around 4:00 and waited for the email that I was supposed to receive within an hour.

The next day I wake up to find the email was sent at 3:00am, approx 11 hours after using the registration system. However, open reading clicking the link in the email it seems the key validation DIDN'T WORK and that my account was not recognised, presumably because of the 414 errors. However I tried all through the day sunday to create an account and it was consistantly down all day so how ANYONE who wasn't in closed beta managed to creat an account is beyond me.

To make matters worse, they've closed the registration system so I'm gonna have to wait for them to reopen that (god knows when that'll be and if it'll work) before starting the WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN. Even when that's done there'll be the issue of patching etc...

This isn't just a minor cockup from GOA, nor is it something you can pass off by saying "Oh it's an open beta, there's bound to be some problems", there is something seriously wrong here.

Is anyone else in this position?

I was in exactly the same position – I have an account but have forgotten the password and everything I’ve entered hasn’t worked. So I was borked just like you. I say was because I got a US key last night and downloaded the US beta, I suggest you do the same mate.

exactly what i did.. warcry.com still got usa keys .. i tink ..i never got email its soon 24hours.. i made more than 1 registration.. nada..

after waiting almost 24 hrs for key validation mail and the missus hasnt even got a account yet and god knows when she will.

got 2 US preorderes from Direct2drive.com just use hidemyip and it lets you order the US version fine.

Keys registered and GTG in under 2 mins to myself and wifes old daoc accounts at mythic.

Was waiting in the fileplanet queue but said sod it paid the 4 quid and now the US client hutling its way to me at 1200kb

Me n missus should be playing within 3 hrs.

GOA can take there EU beta and order and stick it where the sun doesnt shine.

I am waiting for an e-mail exactly 22 hours and 03 minutes now.

Just to be sure I filled in the authentification PCOB01 code a 17th and 18th time now.

I can't imagine what could be worse than this.

HOW are they gonna manage the flood of new clients on the 18th ????????????????????????????
