I had my eye on that and was lookin' forward to eventually tryin' an open beta and it seems to have fallen off the planet.  Website seems dead now.  Looked cool and I heard good things from people playin' the closed beta.

The studio closed their doors (flagship) and I think mythos got bought off by some asian comp

It is really sad that mythos is no longer with us.  I had a great time playing that game for the 1 week I got into the beta before it was all over.  Now I watch runicgames.com to see what the old devs are going to do next.  They advertise that info will be on their site in the next coming days... but .. its been weeks.  I still hope they come up with something fun.

The thought that they can do any better under a simple name change is laughable. Runic/Flagshit, all the same.

Ah, okay, that makes sense tho.  Flagship doesn't exist anymore.  Many of their people are working for Possibility Space on Warrior Epic now.  Kinda makes sense.  I never got to play Mythos, but on the surface it looked like there were some similarities between the two.

I'd heard that some Flagship people were coming to work with us, but I didn't realize Mythos was one of their games.  I haven't been to the www.mythos.com website in ages and it's dead now.

I think the game was pretty solid. Felt very similar to Diablo (obviously) and looked amazing I thought.

However, I wasn't a big fan of the loading b/w areas with boundaries. Think they should have gone with an open world concept while keeping the overhead view (like Ultima Online).. Shame they had the problems they ran into cause overall it was shaping up to be a standout game.

Yeah but you got Diablo 3 and Warrior Epic that're both very similar.  Maybe they thought there was enough competition for that niche already.
