Just read about free to play and have never tired it. I know its a few years old but are there many people still around? or is it a ghost town? Whats it like graphics wise comapred to newer mmo's? thanks |

The population is slowly growing, since it has just recently been re-opened.
And here's some neat things called "screenshots" that some genius invented awhile back so you can see the graphics of any particular game. |

*points down at Signature* Look at my site to find some Video material of all lands. Some better than others of course, I recommend looking at "Restless Child" by SunSwing Productions. One of the best Videos ever done of Ryzom. Ah, and avoid the crappy Youtube Versions please, they do justice to no game at all.

Ya know, graphics for me has always been #3 or #4 on my list of what I enjoy the most. But I have to say that even though Ryzom's graphics are a bit old, they are still great. With the combination of beautiful scenery, huge landscapes and some weird but cool looking creatures makes it a very enjoyable experience for me, almost refreshing. Other games I've played similar in size, in reference to the zones, have never made me want explore like I do in Ryzom. Not only is exploring fun but it's dangerous! There truly is NO handholding in Ryzom except the newbie island, and I enjoy that fact the most. I've pvp'ed, raided some crazy powerful non-instanced bosses and met some of the coolest effin people I haven't had the honor to meet since my TFC days. With proper patching and added content, Ryzom might be a great home for people who want freedom to do what they want in a quality gaming community. |
