SOE has announced Ethernauts, the fifth set for Legends of Norrath, the trading card game which is playable in EverQuest and EverQuest II.

Trace the timeline back thousands of years ago to the story of a handful of brave adventurers who risked life and limb to save Norrath from void storms and terrible creatures. If not for them, Norrath might well have been torn apart in a maelstrom of destruction. Now, strange storms and stranger beasts have been appearing in Norrath again, eerily similar to what came before. Can you unravel the history of the Ethernauts and use their ancient knowledge to save Norrath once again?

Ethernauts introduces over 280 beautiful new cards with new unit races, new scenarios, and of course, exciting new loot cards for EverQuest® and EverQuest® II! In addition, Ethernauts will debut a new Starter Pack option for this block, making it even easier to jump in on unforgettable adventure.

NEWSFLASH
I just want to remind SoE that they are supposed to produce good quality MMO (which at the moment they don't), instead of wasting their time with useless card games no one is interested in.

"We have no plans what so ever to do actual sales of in game items, and I'm personally very opposed to the idea for EverQuest"
"We aren't going to be allowing RMT in any way, shape or form on the non-exchange enabled EQ II servers. Period."

That's SoE for you

As much as I have to agree with you, I will also say that there has to be some want for it, or they wouldn't be making the 5th expansion of it, and it would have died out before it existed. Also, this is only one of their what... 6 card games? Obviously SOMEONE is playing, or it would not continue.

If there is ONE thing SOE is good at, it's taking every cent they can from their customers, before changing their game and leaving them high and dry ;)

I just wanted to quote your sentence, cause that's exactly the reason I am pissed off with SoE.
They fuck up good games (SWG and EQ2 were excellent games) while at the same time dedicate too many resources to something of such marginal relevance to MMO players like LoN.

SoE is losing its focus and need to sort itself out.

PS: Have you noticed the lack of replies on every EQ2 news? That's says it all on the health of the game..........
