THe grass is always greener somewhere and SANDBOX demands that you can always grind to that goal.

Exactly, I play MMO's for PVE. If I wanted to play PVP I'll go buy Doom or Halo.

I checked out the site.  Looks interesting.  I'll add it to my list of MMO's to watch for if SOE is not involved in any way whatsoever.

Now watching Stargate Worlds and Star Trek Online and playing City of Heroes :)

P.S.  Hey since this is a new company, why not give yourselves a competitive edge and come up with a EULA that is more user friendly than the standard version.  Just saying players would get  say 45 days notice of upcoming changes to game mechanics or content would be huge.  Then sell 30 days worth of sub time max.  I know a lot of MMO players that would find this very reassuring, and a welcome change from what other companies (like SOE) have done.

I'd also suggest sticking with your original game design rather than making wholesale changes after release.  Right now, a lot of the features would really appeal to original SWG fans it seems.  Of course some modifications and additions should be doable, but not changes to the original core game, and no bait and switch crap like SOE pulled.  My two cents :)

Good luck to Masthead studios, and maybe see you in 2009.

Earthrise looks great but I will be surprised if it's ready to play in early 2009.

Tecmo Bowl.
