CCP owns the rights to a WOD MMO. I wonder if the Avatars in Eve Online are a testing ground for the World of Darkness MMO. Im hoping for the WOD MMO a long time. Thoughts?

Seeing the Walk-in station vid from last year (?) the models seem very sharp so if they are able to make WoD on that type of platform it will be something amazing, just hope its not a major system drain.

My favorite white wolf game was mage the ascension. I really hope they incorporate mages, and not just vampires.

Well I posted a while back that I was able to speak with someone who works for White Wolf and they had seen early work on WoD and it was already looking sweet.  And they confirmed to me that it would be an 'adult game' as it should be... I'm really looking forward to this title and I REALLY hope CCP uses their same model of 'All updates are free, forever.' you just pay your monthly bit and keep going forever, no expansion packs.  That'd be sweet.

You think? I am pretty sure it was established early on when CCP first announced the White Wolf deal that is exactly what was happening. It's discussed somewhere in the news archives at the EVE Online site, and I believe it was mentioned at least a couple times in the EVE Online forums. I remember because 1) I have been an EVE Online subscriber since 2004 and so I am often watching CCP news and participating on the official forums. 2) I have been a World of Darkness fan and WoD RPG player for many years. So this is one of those dream MMOGs that I've been hoping for. I personally think CCP+WoD=Epic Win... I just wish it wasn't so far away.

I'v played all the WW games and Mages are just simply too powerfull to be represented by a player.

I also played Live action with a troupe of over 200, and they will all agree with me, Mages are OP.

Hell....Even a decently powerfull werewolf can kill Vampires practically at will.

So many unknowns about the WoD MMO.

Like, will they be using the old World of Darkness or the new one? I bet it's almost certain it'll be based on the new material. The old material must make up nill of White-Wolf's revenue nowadays, and the company combined with CCP are already doing things like the Press arm putting out books based on EVE; so you'd expect the Developer arm to only put out new and relevant material as well.

I bet a lot of people are hoping for the old WoD's revised editions though.

I haven't gotten into the new stuff, so I have no idea how powerful Werewolves and Mages and so on are compared to Vampires. I do hope though that they try to include those big three; and downplay things like Changelings and Bastet to either game updates later on or expansions; or just items in the beastiary.

Even a mere Vampire MMO would be alright; I've been wanting one since Troika's Bloodlines.
